a better idea for the bait is to put it into a can and set the trigger down into the can, then while they try to get into the can, they knock the stick out and trigger the trap.
I am sorry; how long you have had Parkinson’s disease. That is the only reason that camera work would be that poor.
If it is for nocturnal animals then it should not have any screen on the trap. It will keep the animals calm. Next you may want to work out a way to release the animals where you can be 30 to 50 feet behind the trap.
nice looking trap..im working on my 2nd trap now its looks wayy better then my other one and bigger ...2sides and back its gonns be a steal /wire cage some thing like your's.....
I dont have this problem because I check my traps very frequently and the wood i use is a special kind that is extremely hard for critters to chew the because it is smooth and extremely resistant to teeth and claws. I have actually kept rodents in this trap as a cage for an extended period of time.
You also need to line the walls & sides with sheet metal. skunks & other critters will tear up the corners of the wood trying to chew their way out. I had that happen to some of my traps, especially around the screen.
i like the trap but u might want to put heavyer wire in the side because i made one with the same wire and a coon riped the wire appart and nearly got away
ive caught 5 birds in the last 5 day. wtf should be a bird trap. ill try the can idea tonight. thanks
