this ain't the original, which only received a limited release as a 7" single; they were having problems with cbs - who didn't appreciate or understand their love of reggae. using lee perry to produce the previous single "complete control" - itself a diss at cbs and resulted in them not promoting it, which meant it was a commercial failure - led to cbs (uk) refusing to release "bank robber". the original release came via the dutch cbs label.

Fucking love this song! I introduced this album to som eRastas in teh carribean years ago... funny how this music was influenced by their culture and music and I introduced them to music influenced by them! They liked it a lot, and I like to think that hopefully the music is making it's way around the island lol!

tune the black market origanal album only has like 8 tunes on it and was only ever realsed on vinyle but they realsed on cd a while ago its very rare 2 by as my dad says i foutn it for him but hes been serching for 25years lol thanks for this i love ti with version n mikey dread on the controls!!!
