I'd forgotten how totally brilliant this series was. They did really sharp, clever, witty satire about British culture, Asian cultures, British Asian culture. Rather than break down stereotypes, they played with them because that's funnier.

Definitely one of the top sketch shows ever.

@x77uqabr6 Language and culture often come to describe each other. To the extent that often the same word is used for both (English, Deutsch/Deutsche). Semitic is technically a language group but now also universally known as an ethnic group. I would feel happy using Hindi to refer to a culture.

It's also not uncommon to wear mehendi on one's feet. That said, I still love this song.
