Jess wasn't the best boyfriend when he and Rory were going out but he did change the most. He matured, wrote a book for her and got his life together. Dean cheated on his wife and that made me hate him even more than I already did. I can't stand cheaters. And Logan also cheated on her even though they were "broken up." Jess is the best and will always be my favorite for Rory.
I think all three guys offered her something. Liked Dean at first, but I think she outgrew him. Dean kept her ties to Stars Hallow, which, like her mom, I thought she would always be there. Logan and Jess really weren't 'small town' guys. I hated that Jess was rude to Lorelai but really liked that he changed. I liked Logan better when he stood up to his dad. But she's not ready for marriage. The right guy is still out there. Maybe she needs time. Maybe she'll bump into Jess again.
They are far to young to get married, Rory did what the majority of girls at her age would have done. In addition when there will be a season8/movie (hopefully), maybe she´ll have a relationship with Jess again, like some of you gathered;-)
I agree with @scienceatheism ! and Jess doesn't need all the materialistic stuff to be hot like Logan does. He was himself. Logan's not attractive in my opinion, judging by personality & looks.. but thats just my opinion folks don't get mad at me D= LOL =D Jess & Rory A&F <3

I wonder if the writers ever took a poll to see how many people preferred Dean/Jess/Logan...it seems that the writers dug themselves into a hole by the end of the show because the viewers were pretty evenly split between the three guys so they figured it would be easiest for Rory to end up single. Nah, they ment to keep it going, and end it as a Rory/ Jess together. BUT, unfortunatly the actors in real life dated - and broke up. Neither willing to continue, Rori ended up alone. And they left it like that.
Well in my mind Rory and Jess are together. Since Rory ended up alone in the end of the series and Jess was the only one who she ended with good terms, he and her got married in my imaginary world of the Gilmore Girls.

You can tell cause they magically poofed Jess in again without warning in the episode before this. But I still think Logan and Rory were perfect for eachother. @MsSavyGirl I agree Rory and Jess were fantastic together. They both loved literature, and Jess was "the bad boy" in her life. All girls want and usually have one of those. But they just had way too much in common for my liking. The way Logan and Rory interact is more relaxed, and they both have the same humorous personality. He taught Rory a lot, just like Rory taught him a lot about life. Rory and Logan just seemed more perfect, not too alike, but not all that similar either.
@Megumi1991 I totalle agree. Jess and Rory were cute (Dean was horrible), but they were not meant to be forever. RJ were the typical teenage romance. Rory and Logan, however, were more relaxed and meant to be.

I totally agree that we need more seasons. I want to skip 7 altogether because it is not the real characters. It is like a shadow. I want Rory and Logan to be together. They were meant to be. I think we should all flood the CW with requests no DEMANDS to bring Gilmore Girls back. They have nothing right now to compete with it. i think they broke up because Logan got freaked out that they were fighting in a bar and how he never has fights with girls or even a relationship with one and Rory just assumed that they were taking a break but when Logan's sister asked him about Rory he just said that they were broke up and they his sister called Rory and told her that.
Logan also treated it like a break up, by sleeping with other girls while they were apart. So, if he just 'said it to shut up his sister' then it possibily had some truth in his mind, since his actions reflect that.
they got back together by logan getting so desperate he went to lorelai and pleaded his case to her and she wrote a letter to rory saying god knows what and that got rory to give logan another chance

I agree that Jess was a jerk.. when he hadn't grown up.. Logan never grew up.. he was selfish.. Rory wanted time.. time for her career.. time to get her life started..and he didn't want to wait for her. Had he really loved Rory.. he would have waited for her. The grown up Jess.. after he's matured..and wrote his book and everything..and the grown up Rory..after her job with the campaign....again..had the show gone on I think would have ended up together.. it was meant to be.. : )

no it wasn't, logan was. They said so. They made a crap decision because the girls decided not to continue so late in the end. I agree w the other person. Doesn't matter if they complemented each other. To me, they'd still be related by marriage, though luke was originally a woman then maybe. I think they were meant to meet/to fall but I think they should end up friends, tho that might be hard for jess.

Really? People LIKED Logan? Was I the only one that didn't? seriously I always HATED him.. from the moment she started going with him.. I honestly think (like others have shared) That ultimately.. had Amy Sherman-Palladino stayed on the show..along with her husband they would have had Rory end up with Jess.. I think they were meant to be. Jess just needed to grow up. They were intellectually compatible.. they liked the same things.. they just fit.
Whereas Logan and Rory..in my eyes.. didn't.

I don't think they (rory and Jess) belonged together simply because they liked the same things.. Its more that they complemented each other. And I'm not denying Jess was a D-bag @ times.. but he grew up.. he is one of the first to really knock some sense into her after she dropped out of Yale.. remember when Logan,jess and rory all went out to dinner? Logan was selfish.. he proved this when he told Rory he wouldn't wait for her.. Jess wanted what was best for Rory.

no no no. Jess is perfect for Rory, he was the only one that was real, the only one who opened her eyes when everyone including herself was clouding it. Jess was THE man for her, the one that wanted to see her happy, he wasnt jealous, he wasnt a rich snob who gives ultimatums, he was himself real and wanted Rory to be the same way. He expected more from her, but allowed her to screw up and make bad decisions. He was perfect. I bet you Jess wouldnt have cheated on Rory.

@scienceatheism i think jess could've been perfect for rory but the fact was for the small window they were together he just wasn't. when he was her boyfriend he never did anything she wanted him to or pouted/sulked when he did and never called her or talked to her. he grew and matured and could've been a great boyfriend to her because everything you said is true but the fact is when they were together he was a terrible boyfriend.

They were going to keep the series going with Jess..but when they broke it off in real life,they just ended the series there.
You can tell cause they magically poofed Jess in again without warning in the episode before this. But I still think Logan and Rory were perfect for eachother. I mean common..Logan went from player to faithful-ish..and he really did love Rory. And Logans in my option is hotter then Jess. But thats just my option XD

@MsSavyGirl I agree Rory and Jess were fantastic together. They both loved literature, and Jess was "the bad boy" in her life. All girls want and usually have one of those. But they just had way too much in common for my liking. The way Logan and Rory interact is more relaxed, and they both have the same humorous personality. He taught Rory a lot, just like Rory taught him a lot about life. Rory and Logan just seemed more perfect, not too alike, but not all that similar either.

I totally agree that we need more seasons. I want to skip 7 altogether because it is not the real characters. It is like a shadow. I want Rory and Logan to be together. They were meant to be. I think we should all flood the CW with requests no DEMANDS to bring Gilmore Girls back. They have nothing right now to compete with it. So, I encourage you fellow fans to e-mail often and maybe we will get that 8th, 9th, 10th season!

i think they broke up because Logan got freaked out that they were fighting in a bar and how he never has fights with girls or even a relationship with one and Rory just assumed that they were taking a break but when Logan's sister asked him about Rory he just said that they were broke up and they his sister called Rory and told her that.
