  • trivium ftw!

  • This video is gonna change how I write music, awesome dude, thank you.

  • does anyone know how i can transfer a mp3 file to midi so i can get drum beat on midi file?

  • thanks a lot man :)

  • How can I get ez, or addictive drums plugin into fl studio? I have the demo version of fl

  • @RockinScene When you right click to load your VST or whatever, at the top there is a selection called "More" you click that, then load the VST by checking the box next to its name.

  • great tutorial bro! thanx a lot! now I'm about to start a one man technical brutal death metal band :D

  • NICE MAN !!! THANKS !!!!

  • I have Reaper, how can I put the sound on instead of the fruity stuff?

  • Can this same thing be done with other programs? I remember doing this a while ago with Addictive drums but i dont like their midi key layout thing.

  • great job !!. I have a question ¿can you view the piano roll of the midi?, sometimes i want to modify something.

  • @kvieres yeah, you can edit the piano roll manually.

  • fucking awesome man!!!! THANK YOU!!!

  • Great tutorial very well structured and easy to follow thumbs up from me thanks Geoff...

  • nice desktop picture:D

  • i've a problem here.... i load the midi file like you do, but when play it it simply doesnt reproduce the sound.... another question, when i load ez drummer plug in into FL it doesnt make a clear sound. its kind a fuzzy and sandy noise like a wave or somethin and i dont know how to resolve this... does anybody know how to clear it?

  • Thank you so much!

  • hey, how do you use EZDrummer with Guitar Pro 6?

  • @zoidberg4eva I've never used Guitar Pro 6, but i'd assume it's the same thing, seeing as all this is doing is making a MIDI track for the drums without having to do it note by note on a piano roll.

  • Tnx for this video, it helped me out alot. Didnt realize it was so simple.

But what if I want to do the same thing with the guitar sound and not just drums? What program or plug in do I need for that? Anyone that knows?

  • @areuin2it If you want to use a virtual amp sim, I recommend a program such as Cubase or Reaper (I suggest Reaper seeing as you get a "free" license, the program will work forever but it's recommended you purchase a license, I suggest you do, just to support them) anyway, once you have Reaper, search for Poulin amp sims on google. Those are some of the best free amp sims you can use.

  • @geoffreymiller9430 Tnx alot for the help. Gonna check it out asap!

  • man come on !! your video were perfect but you use FL, so you deserve a 0 !!!! Fuck that program. Use something good such as cubase or protools but come on !! FL !?!? That's for beginners. 0 0 0 0 0 !! You deserve a 0 !!

  • @wildchild15381 I use Reaper for recording and mixing, I just find it easier to use FL Studio for my drum tracks though. Personal preference I guess.

  • @wildchild15381 Who gives a fuck which program you use? It's personal opinion, deal with it.

  • wait....IS this Lamb Of god? i recognized the intro!

  • I got a question: The Ezdrummer only works in windows xp??? Can works in windows 7??

  • @narutangello I'm pretty sure it works. I don't see why it wouldn't.

  • thx so much dude this is awesome!

  • How can I start ezdrummer in fl studio or Where can I save the ezdrummer to a fl studio folder?? because it cant load the ezdrummer in my fl studio...

  • im new to ez drummer and drumming software so i have some questions. Is EZDrummer a stand alone application? can it be run on its own or do you always have to run it in some sort or recording software.

  • @z0mgzt0m It's a VST pluggin, meaning that it can only be run by running it within a DAW, or a host program. It is not a stand alone though ;D

  • Thanks man. This really helped me since I pretty much got FL studio only to play around with EZ drums. It turned out to work for me aswell. Though I had to go to channels/more and then highlight ezdrummer. Hard to know that when you just started with FL. This was only the first usage though. Your viddie was very appreciated.

  • or just download cubase and use ezdrummer with that

  • i have RSE in guitar pro

  • @EscotoBaker You can disable RSE in GP by clicking on the RSE icon at the top of the screen.

  • @geoffreymiller9430 thanks but I solved it, very good video

  • BLACKEN THE CURSED SUN!!!!!!!

  • Thanks man, it works, but now I have another problem hahaha.

I use the open hihat with the numer 46 in Guitar pro, but when I export the drum sample to Ez drummer, it sounds, but it sounds kind of closed... Some friends that played my demos told me that the hihat sound as if it where close and I don't how to change that... I don't anything about use Ez drummer without Guitar pro hahaha, Do I have to change that from Ez drummer? or can I use another number instead of 46 for open hihat?

    :)!

  • @MrDoompaloompa Hmm, i've actually never thought of using another number for the Hi-Hat, I just thought the EZDrummer Hi-Hat was cheesy or bad sounding (i've always used the "46" Hi-Hat) BUT!! If you go to "My Comp<Compaq C:<Program Files<Toontrack<EZDrummer<EZX_dfh<EZX-Keys" that is a MIDI chart for EZDrummer and has all the numbers you need which correspond to the pieces of the kit. There you can find all the Hi-Hats and find the one which suits you

  • @geoffreymiller9430

Well I've been lookin' for that, thanks a Bunch :)

  • Thanks a lot man..

If u can help me with the tempo variations in the midi file that i import to ezdrummer.. i'l be thankful to u..

suppose i have some 15 bars at 120 bpm and the next 15 at 160 bpm and a few bars at 200 bpm.. how do i put them in order in ezdrummer..

I use fruity loops for ezdrummer

  • Thanks a lot man..

  • Thanks a lot for the tutorial man, it helped me a lot :)

But I also have a problem with the cymbals!

I don't have the DFM, but a friend of mine has it and the problem is the same.

In guitar pro I use the Crash cymbal with the number 49 and when I'm working the same drum track on ez drummer this cymbals does sound, but very veeeeeery low volume. I wanna know if there is another crash cymbal on guitar pro that could sound louder on ez drummer, because the number 49 is the only one that I know =( !

  • @MrDoompaloompa In guitar pro put a 28 instead of 49, also increase the velocity, it'll increase the cymbal volume. let me know if it works ;D

  • awesome.. but can you help me with something? i try to upload ezdrummer in fl studio 8 with the right clic then insert how can i connect both programs to make the work together?

  • cool wallpaper I love trivium but my favorite heavy metal band is Bring Me the Horizon.

  • @Mastersun88 the metal u listen to is awful.

  • hey dude, thanksd for the video. But i got 1 problem.Whenever i have china from gp as 52, it selects me that china which is on the right, but i want to get china sound which is in very left corner. Which number would it much in guitarpro to get that chinas sound?

or how do i change it straightly in FL ? is it possible?

  • i'm not sure how to change it directly in FL Studio but in Guitarpro the bottom left china is "27"

But you can open up the MIDI chart, which tells you what cymbals or pieces of the kit are what numbers by

going to "My Computer" < "Compaq C:" < "Program Files" < "ToonTrack" < "EZDrummer" < "EZX DFH" < "EZX - Keys"

  • can you how to hear the midi is you DONT have a program like fl studio?

  • but is there a way to still change the drums while its alrady loaded into FL?

  • yup, open up the piano roll for the track

(right click it and click "piano roll")

  • they're some other easy ways to do this with FL studio i've been using it for years. but hey nice tutorial. :)

  • I can't say thanks enough for this video, helped me so much. Thanks dude

  • haha glad it helped

  • I actually have a question if you would be so kind as to help :P. Do you know if there is any other way of changing all the 40's to 38's. Doing it manually is taking me AGES!

  • Unfortunately I haven't found any other more efficient way of doing so, doing it manually is the only way I know of

  • Ah well, thanks for the help anyway!

  • @bakedbean1232

You can go to the piano roll in FL and click on the 40's and just a little below there will be the 38 just drag it there .

sry if my english is bad

  • Thanks man.

  • hardly anyone realizes how great a tool GP is for music production. you can complete ideas and turn a simple guitar rhythm you write into a whole song at the speed of thought.

It's my smallest piece of equipment yet most powerful when it comes to writing/completing songs.

  • can i do this with cubase as well?

  • I haven't tried it, but i'm almost positive it'll work

as long as you can import MIDI files

  • WTF? i was listening the same song on winamp at the same time!! and I pecked this video at random!!! :-)

  • i love that song :D

  • dude you're freaking awesome i love you in the most heterosexual way possible, I'll try this in the morning @_@

  • haha thanks dude, glad it helped

  • Is there any way to select a "drum" for a certain keyboard letter? cuz playing with the mouse ain't that great =P

  • you need a MIDI controller haha i'm not sure how to help because like in this video, i just use guitar pro drum MIDIs to use EZDrummer

  • can i use Adobe Audition ?

  • if in Adobe Audition you can import a MIDI file then yeah

  • can you do this without having the FL Studio..? doesn't work with Ableton 7.. -.-

  • any program that supports VST pluggins and you can export into an mp3 should work perfectly

  • Thanks mate, it works!

  • awesome dude, have fun with it :D

  • dude your trivium covers are awesome

thanks for this vid i had no idea you could do this at all.

    how did you get EZdrummer?

  • thanks dude :D

I found a torrent for it but the site i got it from is down

  • oh ,
