  • You are right about eliotii, because it is one of the most beautiful (along with Meeki ) representatives of Thorichthys genus , when they grow up, a pity that nighter one of these two fish is not available in my country, (sometimes Meek, but wery rare.) best from me..

  • Yes, they are beautifull.

But in the Netherlands it is not easy to find good Central-Americans too.

you have to know your people around here.

The Th.meeki's are one of the most availables here, the Th.ellioti's i've got from a friend who is keeping Central-Americans too.

The group who keeps this group of fish, is not very big around here, because you need a very large tank to keep them.

    Where do you come from?

  • I am from Serbia.Yes you're right, because in my country Central American cichlids are not popular mostly because of their aggression, but in my country many people keep African cichlids (and I keep them too) although they are very aggressive and require a big aquarium too,Despite that their selection is very good.

  • Yes, the soft pastel colours of the ellioti's are very beautifull indeed.

When you see the meeki's next to them, then they look just very common and pale.

Holland is not very big, you can travel here in maximum 3 hours to the farest destination, this means that you can go to the places where they sell these kind of fish very easy when it is available...

  • @WILLYBACOBOY

maybe, the first occasion on summer holiday I will take trip to some countryes in Europe, perhaps the Holland, to see the selection of fish and of course to buy fish , greeting

  • Thank you!

The ellioti's will be much more beautifull when they are grown up, and sporning!

I had their parents before, they died sadfully, and they were a hammer, very nice pastel-colours!

The H.efasciatus will grow up to a lenght between 20-25 cm maximum.

  • I hope you will find what you want when you visit our country!

    Greetings!

  • one word perfect,so natural just like you said side of the river.Your synsipila is beuty,,meeki and dempsey are so cool, and your Thorichthys ellioti are so cute, what is max size that Heros efasciatus can grow. Thanks for sharing this video. 5stars
