I'm looking to adopt a kitty, first time with one and I'm really leaning toward a ragdoll but holy crap the prices for a cat are insane, and it's hard finding any kittens in animal shelters. I have a pedigree shih tzu show dog and every cat breed I look up are more expensive than her! So it is a turn off to get a cat.

I have actually had two ragdoll, one of which I couldn't keep for very long & the second was for my 10th birthday, greatest present I have ever received. so gentle & loving, she followed me everywhere! she passed away not too long ago from a urinary tract infection, major cause of death for most ragdolls. but you can bet if I ever get another cat it would definitely be a ragdoll

My ragdoll is black with green eyes. She goes limp, never meows or hurts, loves being held but HATES other animals. She likes being inside and outside abd loves to kill and eat rabits, baby rabits, mice, adult and baby squirls, birds, etc. But she follows me and only me and only lets me touch her belly. I have two, and they're exactly the way this clip describes! Huge, sweet, lazy, affectionate, just wonderful cats. They get along great with the dog and with kids. But they shed like there's no tomorrow!

I have a ragdoll (she's in my pic!) and I have to say, she's probably one of the most well-tempered cats I have ever owned (currently the 5th). Although I do have to say she's the naughtiest cat I've ever owned. I love big cats and am glad to say she's growing to be the biggest kitty at just 11 months old ^.^. I would say she's the most affectionate of all my past (and 2 of my present) kitties but they've all loved me and followed me around everywhere. I just love all kitties in general!

I love ragdolls. My big boy Jasper is the first one I have ever had and he's beautiful, smart and loves to curl up next to me when I'm watching TV. I don't think I could ever get another type of cat after having a ragdoll.

I love ragdolls <3 I got this beautiful blue colored boy at home and he's the most wonderful cat ever. He's playful, loves to cuddle and follows me around the house. He also sleep next to me on the bed. I can't imagine having anything but a ragdoll from now! :)

I also want to adopt a cat from the pound so i was wondering how to determine one from another. A lot of cats at my local shelter look similar to a ragdoll or ragamuffin, but i can't really tell. could someone give me some ideas?

I had a ragdoll (pretty sure he was mixed), he was actually pretty small, but had the most beautiful cream and white long hair, pink and black nose, and baby blue eyes. Looked kinda like the one at 1:35. Before we could neuter him he kept leaving the house and never came back. He acted kind of feral. Such a beautiful cat though. His name was Creampuff. :)
