You can't have China's autocracy in India. I'm sorry but it'll be disastrous. India is way too diverse and when one group dictates, there'll be an uproar by all other groups.
In China, the Han people are the majority and Mandarin is agreed by everyone to be the national language. Even then we see Tibetans rebelling because they feel they're being ruled.
If that system is implemented in India, Tamils will rebel, Kashmiris will probably leave, North East Indians may rebel, Sikhs may rebel.
Listening to the ruthlessly dictatorial ex PM of Malaysia, talking about democracy is like listening to Jerry Springer talking about Immanuel Kant's "Principle of Duty" or Confucius teachings of the "Five Virtues".
What a ridiculous fucking debate....Media is an integral part of a democracy and the fact that our mainstream media asks such stupid misleading questions shows that we have too little democracy. Firstly economic growth is not the ultimate objective. 2ndly even in terms of economic growth the real question to be asked is "Is there too little democracy in India because even if we have growth it is not inclusive, growth only benefits the corporate elites leaving out a majority of the population?"
There is no such thing as too much democracy. India will surpass China because of its democracy. Imagine this, 1.3 billion Chinese get online, but can only visit the sites Chinese government approved while 1.2 billion Indians get online and can visit any site that's out there. The Chinese have a tunnel vision, the Indians have the complete picture. That's the number one reason India will surpass China.
@AtlasDerek to be fair to China, all countries have internet censorship to a certain degree. Its just that the Great Firewall of China censors loads of things.
at 13:17 Rajdeep says only 1 thing...... But but but but but but but but..... lmao! Y Yadav was right as usual. He has a broader mindset. The old guy was right abt middleclass people supporting complete assholes but I beg to differ about his view on the followers of Anna Hazare. They didnt do it for the sake of themselves and not for their dictatorial effect.
