why is everything pseudo-blowback now? Its much to fiddly on AEGs and my friends jammed because some dirt or something got in it. What they did with the charging handle is cool, just not the blowback.

And Ares is a Japaneese Manufacturer too, and their guns have between 350 and 470 FPS...TM could just change the spring for export guns....

ABS isnt really Weak, but TM (yes, i have owned one) uses very hard ABS, that breaks easily, like in their G3 Models. Other Companys like JG use very soft ABS, that can withstand some abuse.

Some G3 Models where unusable after a few Months, because the Body was so damn weak.

@andromedarr Ive been working at Airsoft Atlanta since 2006 and I've handled probably hundreds of tm's and the only ones whose body ever worried me were the older famas's that creaked like a son of a bitch. I'd take a TM over a jg in a heartbeat though, TM's will usually last forever and then some.

The vid said to get G3 mags with higher capacity, so think 300 rounds instead of 15. I got mine from Redwolf Airsoft with upgraded gears so the fps was around 450-470, making it a marksman class for some stateside airsoft groups. Usually below 400 is aeg, 450 is marksman, 500+ is sniper class. It is very long and can eat a lot of battery juice over the course of a day. Still, it's a fun rifle, but you'll have to shoot from bushes, not stand toe to toe with a ptw, per se.

i assume you mean a 4x40 scope, btw not worth 80 bucks, more like 20, and for another 10 u can get a 3-9x40 illuminated scope. 509mm is more like 20 inches not 30, most good airsoft snipers do not use a semi auto gun...mostly bolt action as there is no point to it, because most of the time you are observing and reporting. and for 500 bucks i would rather save another 150 and get an Ares AW 338

i would rather get the VSR i dont like aeg's for sniper rifles. point is, bolt actions (springs) put all its down force onto the bb you are fireing and all its power is concentrated, on an aeg, when u fire the spring hits the bb and quickly goes back, therefore it does not put all it's force down on the gun, if you can spend 500 bucks for a sniper rifle, i would rahter get an upgraded spring rifle, or a gas rifle, depending on where u live

That is not how AEGs work, the piston goes back quickly because the gears rotate, pulling it back, all the power of the spring is directedat the BB only. However, BoltActions are of simpler design and can handle more powerful springs, that is their one advantage over AEGs.

There is a guy who plays at my field and he has a TM PSG-1, that thing is a beast. He has upgraded the gun to when he brings it out to the field, everyone is like "Crap!". Its a very nice rifle and he rarely brings it out, the thing is beautiful.

Yea this one got a little loud, I was using old software that only let me take it down to 20%, now it can go down to as little as .1%. I put it in there just so its me talking as a and moving hands. Thanks for the advice thought

get the systema FTK, a magnum motor, 10.8v battery and a 6.01 tightbore.

Systema FTK is a great upgrade for the psg, but beware of the 400% spring version. I have already busted 2 systema aluminum pistons (both at the first tooth) with mine with very little use. Maybe it was bad luck but IMHO i think the 400 is too strong for the piston the FTK kit comes with. I backed it down to 300% spring (around 475fps@.20) and it works great.Does anyone know of a psg piston that will handle the 400? Maybe one with full titanium teeth instead of one or two like Ive seen?

The motor is the High Torque Systema Magnum (red) that comes with the FTK26 full tune up kit. The kit comes with a 400% spring which works great while its working, but it chews through pistons like its starving to death. (including the aluminum piston the kit comes with)

The entire kit costs around 280 on Redwolf or Uncompany. Like I said above, I now use a 300% spring and it is much more stable. I am currently searching for a psg piston that is stronger than the Systema aluminum one.
