I'm sure there were things about the change of team that we don't know about. Personally I think David decided to step down from WHO because Moffat was taking over as producer, only to keep things smooth. More like "OK, I'll leave and do new things then" instead of "I'm tired of WHO, It's time to quit to do new things"

@macalona He actually quit because he wanted to leave when there was still a chance to be missed, and he didn't want DW to start feeling like a job, and he'd also said that he had always said he would leave when RTD decided to go. Steven Moffett taking over actually made him hesitate about leaving. It was nothing to do with getting tired, he just wanted to leave before people preferred to see the back of him.

I like that David drinks coffee instead of tea, cuz it´s just so typical for brits to prefer tea over coffee...David is not typical!

Smith's doctor is very hands off. I mean his companion is doing all the work, thinking up clever ideas, saving the universe. Almost like Pond is the Doctor and the Doctor is HER companion! Doctor 10, R. I. P. You will be missed and never forgotten, even if a crack in time appears in our walls, your memory will live on!!!!

David seems to me the perfect ten as THE DOCTOR, so the series died as for me with the 10th one, no critiques on the 11th! Matt just isn't the kind of guy I'd fancy or who even slightly is on my interest. I wouldn't go so far as to say he's the wrong one - but my wish is they haven't let David go without an option... to return/call him back for the next season!
