  • Use a free VST synth instead of this! (Discovery VST) lol

  • I bought one, I love it, my friends love it, my son loves it, it cost me $550 AUD It goes well with my other Synths. I built my first synth by hand from a kit (Transcendent 2000) - this is the most fun I have had with a synth since.. it has a few small flaws but the sound is excellent.. This is Crystal Method chatting, its not very indicative of the keyboard..

  • "Gotta make a quick buck and I don't know what Im talking about"...They're great producers dough....I wonder how much they got paid to talk so much shit

  • Yeah, this is a pretty lame demo. He doesn't seem to know his way around the synth and blah blah blahs over it all. YAWN!

  • CoBe, you must notbe a real musician because time is money and real musicians do not have the time to page thru menues, real knobs are much easer and faster to program. The sound is important but this unit is no better then most analog sound alikes. Nothing new here.

  • @mattsynth Well said. The software is pretty nice, but I have not found anything besides the sound pack, that is really mind-blowing... It makes a good combo-synth to add to a collection.

  • @mattsynth so true.

Companies need to stop trying to sell us digital shit and charging the mint for a cheaply made analog verison.

  • did M.audio get their $20 worth for this endorsement, or what?

  • How much did Crystal Method get paid to push this cheep unit. This synth has not enough knobs for me and I hate programing synths from a computer. It may sound great now but very quickly you will get tired of the factory sounds and want to tweek the unit. That is where the pain in the $%&* factor comes in. Please add a couple hundred more bucks to the synth and give us musicians something we can play and program with ease like the Roland Gaia. Sorry but this synth is not on my list of favorites.

  • @mattsynth Grab a BCR 2000, and assign you're encoders on the bcr to parameters on the venom. Sorry, but a real musician wouldn't not buy a product cause it doesn't have enough knobs. It is about the sound. And this thing can make some monster sounds.

  • Man, I dig Crystal Method, but for Pete's sake...come on with it! I was falling asleep on this shit! *_*

I just bought this peice, looking forward to throwin' down with it.

  • I just bought this so instead of speculation and notions I will rip it apart for 40 days and tell you how this thing plays. screw your arm chair methods of speculation,

  • wish crystal method didn't suck at presenting.. I'd like to hear the thing, not you talk.

  • This thing is sick period! Dont knock it until you have tried it.

  • soo...My Roland Fantom X8 and Alesis Micron still Kills this ..

  • @jsnsykes

Uh yeah bud, maybe that's because it's um... A Fantom.

  • @jsnsykes lol I dont think so

  • @jsnsykes ur fantom is how much compared to this 500 dollar synth?

  • no more m-audio shit
