When you remake a LEGENDARY T.V. SHOW..stay true to form. Totally Fucked this movie up. The young boy's & girls have no clue about the tracy family, this is not a bring me up 2 speed t.v.series, or beam me up to catch up the fuck up scotty. They fucked this movie up & they fucked up Speed Racer! Please do not do another remake of a legendary childhood legend.

This movie didn't do well in the theaters and it should have because it was great. For those of us that saw it in the theater we got to see Vanessa (Tintin) for the very first time and she was SOOOOOO beautiful, especially her first scene. There was a lot of promotional tie-ins to send away from and I had dozens of Tintin stuff. She's high school age in it though I think she played much younger. When HSM came out she was even more beautiful and was an amazing singer but this is MUST SEE.

this might've been said already, BUt, the little blurb said thi was to the original theme tune, this is infact the theme used over the opening credits of the film (as arranged by Hans Zimmer i believe). the original version was composed and conducted by barry gray, but they obv couldn't get him to arrange it...

I thought the new movie wasn't too bad...I like the old series too and the new designs really look sleek and awesome...although I didn't like the fact that International Rescue allowed itself to be filmed
@dragondisaster You are right to a certain extent. But how could they avoid being filmed in one way or another? To be fair, though, there is very likely technology available that could jam modern day cameras off any kind. If anything, the original show was odd for the characters even TRYING to avoid bing filmed. But still, it would be more realistic for the vehichles to have high-tech anti-boarding security devices that could be shown off-hand when our heroes must depart their ships in public.
