I know a lot of NBA basketball fans (LBJ nut swingers) are going to flame me for writing this, but this is starting to get ridiculous. In the NBA, people get dunked on and we all know this, but I don't know of any superstar who has got dunked on so many times as the guy known as King James.
dunno why kobe and lebron are being compared as if for the top spot, i think pretty simply its jordan. going on that why are kobe and lebron being compared at all? kobe is within the top 10 greatest and lebron maybe top 25. theyre not even close.

Lol that is true my basketball team does not see many championships, that actually was a decent assumption. Now my point of view is that you don't need championship rings to be a good player. The Lakers probably won't win the championship this year, but Kobe is still best. That doesn't make him a chump.

@TeshawndaKing I guess that's cool and all, but for a sport that invovles "team-play" I still wouldn't call their NBA careers, a COMPLETE SUCCESS. I like how DJ Mbenga can walk around and say "Kobe got me this ring." Must be a great feeling to be a great player like Kobe and have other teammates said that about him.

@pennywisem22 But Kobe hasnt gotten a single ring by himself. Kobe, Gasol, Artest, Bynum, Ariza, all those good-great players that surrounded kobe also contributed a ton. You do realize that if Gasol and Ron Artest were Mo williams and Antawn Jamison like Lebron had The celtics would have won the finals last year. Like always say its not the Los Angeles Bryants. It doesnt say the Bryants are the 2010 NBA Champions its the team.

@TeshawndaKing Name ONE star player in NBA history, that owns a ring and did it himself??? Not Jordan... not Tim Duncan, not Magic, Larry, and yes not even Kobe. etc... There are many "star" players out there that had good teams, made it deep into the playoffs, but could never get over the hump. LeBron, Carmelo, Iverson, Malone, Barkley, even T-Mac had some good teams. Why can't they win a Championship??? They have or had great teams before... That's what separates Kobe from just another star.

@pennywisem22 None of them except Malone had the amount of star power around themselves that Kobe has. You cant even put malone on that list cuz he lost to Jordan which is just unfair. But Lebron, Iverson, Melo, if you look at their "deep" playoff runs they were basically doing it all by themselves. Lebron basically willed the cavs to the finals. What seperates kobe from other starts is his help. cuz they could make the playoffs without him.

kobe's shooting percentage is getting better cause he is using his shooting game this year. And with that, that gives him a lot of practice for shooting in the play offs. so dunking really isn't needed for kobe cause he has really good bigmen to do that for him. and Shannon Brown =D

@blaze3550 Stats have something to do with it, but once you have the stats you have to have the championships in order to be considered the best. IMO the most clutch player in history is Kobe, and one more championship will seal the deal as the greatest player to ever put his hand on a basketball.

Also 2nd most clutch shots in a year is carmelo with 5 a couple years back, he has 7..
The idea is 7-12 this year... Kobe is still getting better and he will continue to get better... the rest havent even reached his current level and hes still progressing.
