"Serious about their war on drugs" are they serious?!?! Drugs are as available now as ever. You can get most perscription drugs over the counter too, including injectable steroids, downers (oops, I mean sleeping aids) and lots more.  The US probably pays Thailand to act like they're serious or the cops catch those who don't buy drugs from them, but leave those who buy drugs from the cops alone. :-)
