I know it isn't popular opinion, but in my heart of hearts I know that these attacks were a worked shoot. The situation between Matt, Edge and Lita was very, VERY real, but in MSG and at One Night Stand, WWE noticed the reaction that Matt's name got, so they brokered a backstage peace treaty between Matt and Edge, and they agreed to work together on what was, I admit, a BRILLIANT angle, based on a real life situation. One of WWE's last really good ones, frankly.
