Does anyone notice that when you pick the first letter of every chapter they form the words N.I.C.O.L.E. I.S. D.E.A.D. ? And that the end of each word is a boss battle? E for lEviathan, S for Slug, and D for Hive MinD.

Slack i'm about to install Dead space, but i'm put off with comments made on forums suggesting the controls using a USB mouse. Many suggest this makes the game unplayable, can you just confirm please that you did indeed use a usb mouse?

I used a USB mouse when I did my DS walkthrough. The initial settings were too fast though so I turned down the mouse sensitivity. Also there's some deal about turning off vsync or something that. Do a search for vsync at the DS forum.

I know this reaction is late (may, 2010) but I must make a remark about your

dead space settings majorslack, its this: in your commentary you said that

you had everything max'd out, but when I saw the settings on the

settings screen everything was on the "off" position.

in my experience with dead space settings, the setting is on (or off)

when the word (on or off) is lightend up, or in other words, the "on" is

in a bright lucid square.

I think you know that but I wanted to tell you anyway.

Yes you're absolutely right (sorry for the late reply.. been super busy lately). I had just recently reinstalled Dead Space just before doing this walkthrough and I forgot to go into the options and click all those settings to 'On'. It's a wonder I overlooked it. At any rate, my computer can indeed play this game maxed out.
