@Daverbuj this looks at least 4-5ft faces.... it depends on the spot and the wave you are surfing for when you wipeout... this spot doesn't look powerful... but eating it in a barrel is scary because there is always a bigger chance your board will hit you... some waves can hold you down for 5 to 20 seconds longer than 20 you better be pro because you probably wont make it out of that...
@goopipoopie "This spot doesn't look powerful"? Are you kidding? You're obviously not familiar with the spot. Yes, this is a small day... but Cloudbreak can be pretty sick. Basically you've got open ocean swells hitting a fairly shallow, live coral reef. It can also be pretty sectiony depending on the swell direction, so it's really easy to end up with some nice reef rash and a few broken boards.
