A little girl asked me when we were trick-or-treating (yea, I'm 15 and I still go trick-or-treating) well, she asked me what I was and I said "A character from a movie." and she was like "COOL!" and it was hilarious because she was so amazed and awed by that fact. :)

I do not know anyone in my circle of friends who dressed up. It's not a big thing. I think trick or treating is pretty mean spirited and I've only done it once, when I was a very small kid, and I went as a witch. From a religious point of view it is not the important holiday, the important holiday is All Saints' Day, but as I am not religious this is fairly irrelevant. I cosplay for Cons or for fancy dress parties, but reasons for dressing up as random things like this is beyond me.

In New Zealan we don't really do Halloween very few little kids dress up let alone older kids and not many people put much effort into their costumes they just buy them usually. Also daylight savings is always on by Halloween so it gets dark real late its not as much fun if the suns still out
