Oh wanna restore PRV Power, most PRV with K-Jetronic suffer under much too less fuel pressure because the fuel pressure regulators have a badly tired pressure regulator spring...put some shims under that internal regulator spring so the internal fuel pressure is back to 5,4 bars and your 2,8 PRV willcrank out 178 Hp without mod....
most people never measured PRV performance if engine is good, with too lean mixture its slow, if well maintained its as fast as a citroen SM!
@GuitaristJared this one I would guess would be about $20k-$25k it wasn't in great condition but it ran and had a decent interior and low miles from what I can remember but I've seen DeLoreans as low as $3k
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old PRV Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps EFi and tank clean and rustfree
I've seen(and even sat inside it too!) in that very DeLorean! I haven't seen it recently, though (possibly hidden in the back somewhere, or possibly sold, I don't know for sure though)Thanks for the awesome vid!!!
even though the deloreon sucks on the engine department, get rid of the motor buy a 350Z motor and install it so it wont suck. now u made an american ricer. :)

ITS SO ANNOYING when theres a delorean car and people always have to link it with BTTF or put the song into the vid, im srry but amazing i hope to get one myelf in the future(no puns intended)
i got to the place like every month to check out the vechile. rarly do they sell one but they mostly refurbish them. the have one from france!! chack out there website
total curb weight with a full tank of gas is 2712 lbs--
420 pounds less than a corvette
68 pounds more than a dodge shadow
2,588 less than a '77 town car
all three of which were faster.
people that are so quick to bash it keep forgetting that the delorean was never built to fly, it was a personal luxury coupe. and it was completely outer space. nothing compares..nothing
Hello ! Nice Car !!

why on earth did delorean only put 6s in these cars? he shouldve put at least a small 8 in it.
zestyguy87 2 years ago
Gas mileage regulations at the time forced Delorean to use the V6. Plus he was using a modified Lotus Esprit frame.

PSPro1337 3 years ago
no It has a PVR V-6 stock engine
lkjoiunhgy 3 years ago

If monetary issues were not a factor John DeLorean was going to put a V12 in it as he envisioned the car in the late 70's

Dream car dude but the engine in it was crap.
It should have been a flyer in its day but it wasn't.
Sad but true.
vragamuffin 4 years ago
But in my opinion BEST CAR EVER MADE
lkjoiunhgy 4 years ago
Well i wouldn't go that far.
Dream car yes, but not the best.
vragamuffin 4 years ago
How fast can it go?
If its 80 mph, pretty dismal performance, but good car.
RyoKun91 4 years ago
actually top speed is 140 mph but the spedometer only goes up to 85 unless you get the Eurospec then it is like 150 and it use Kmph
lkjoiunhgy 4 years ago
nice one, dunno for the 83 but prob with dmc was the 2.8l v6 the car is so heavy the engine dont stand a chance
hellraiser84 4 years ago
