magic box still no that usefull, it just slightly help vs thors.. but vs archons magic box dont do a shit.. archons got better splash than thors so mutas still takes splash even magic boxed..mutas really sucks vs archons, and the part at 1:02-1:10 was prob 200 mutas vs 7 archons.. (and prob upgraded mutas)..

@WoWfan924 if its not that useful then who do pro's use it? they still suck against archons yeah but they do atleast a little better when they are MB's. Little things like that can be a game saver at times. and it actually massivly helps with thors

I don't know if you realize, but FG is the "oops I made one bad click I lost all my mutas". Because you know, you can't micro away once the FG hits.

@kleash Yet requires a lot more macro to do. compared to archon or thor which you only need to be in range of the non-boxed muta to obliterate them.

archon counter mutas better than thors, since archon deals slightly more damage to mutas than thors and the mutas still can take splash damage even using magic box (means they got 1 more range) the only thing thors got better is their range (10) while archon only got 3 range same as mutas

I remember the first time I got 50 mutas in a ranked match and they all got wiped by 3-4 thors... I cried.

@MostazalsLord If they have mass amounts then you should have had time to stop using mutas. Magic box is mainly to take out their first counter units.

@emikochan13 Well, I usually see people going for MASS muta, even if there are already archons, or thors on the field(plat league btw). And some of them actually know how to magix box, but then, the thing they've faced after archons are carriers WITH archons. Having only muta, that's impossible to beat if they have nearly the same army supply as the player using mutas (say about 40 mutas). I'll take your advice tho.

The fungal growth has the advantage of locking units in their 'mistake'. With thors and templars you still get the chance to fan out before the next attack hits. With infestors not so.

@guyonwabbit No, I was just wishing that mutas could use the magic box to defeat marines, not that the marines had to have splash damage. As it is, stimmed marines are a counter to everything except banelings and broodlords, and even banelings have trouble getting to well microed marines. If mutas could do magic box and be effective, it would help matters.
