  • this is actually a very awesome movie. i thought it was gunna suck but it was a damn good movie

  • One more reason why I don't like reviewers! They just laugh at everything in the movie! If their movie get bad reviews they're probably gonna be sad/mad but hey if it is not theirs, they can destroy it! And who are they? Are they producers, cameraman, actors? I don't think so! I think people from the industry should review movies, not journalists who don't really know anything about movies and the industry...and I don't say that because I loved the movie, I actually haven't seen it yet...

  • @instantkiwiie @instantkiwiie Your idealistic, ignorant, and long-winded words inspired a mighty triumphant nap. Thank you.

  • i really liked this movie...

  • i bet their atheist...

  • COME ON.... we all knew this movie would suck. why review it?

  • "I COULDN'T WATCH, I COULDN'T WATCH, MAN. THIS MOVIE IS.... TERRIBLE!" LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Ben, it's the first time I laugh because of something you said (other than some of your movie preferences). Thank you.

  • Wondered what happened to this one. The trailer was on YT many months ago. Apparently somebody re-edited and made a mess of it. Maybe it'll be one of those director's cut DVDs.

  • i disagree, i went and saw this for my birthday, the day it came out...its a movie, just because its about church and singing doesnt mean its aimed to christian or "churchy" ppl...ive never seen glee & im not a conservative & i loved it....so idk what you guys are talkng about...

  • How sad. I was going to see this movie after watching interviews with Queen Latifah/Wendy Williams and Dolly Parton/Anderson Cooper. Will wait for DVD rental. Thanks for the head's up. Hate to waste $8

  • I saw this with a friend on Friday as a last minute choice, and we both loved it! Is it hokey...yes. Is it a gospel film...yes. This film features "contemporary" gospel music signified by the appearance of Kirk Franklin, but you'd have to be culturally aware to know that. If you watched movies made in the 70's you'd have an idea of what this movie is like. If I had to rate it on their 10 point scale, I'd give it a 6. Watch it, you'll enjoy it.

  • i love glee, I'm an Evangelical Christian, and this thing looks, as Ben put it, "painful." I think we've all seen the "underdogs are Inspired by Quirky Mentors and win the Big Competition" movie a few hundred times before. I could be wrong, but this ooks very much like yet another one of those.

  • So you're saying it's Sister Act II but not good?

  • And Alonso gets the 2012 Best Closing Line award

  • @quicksandbuddy I read your comment and watched the whole clip, wondering, what's he going to say?? Then he said it, and I still laughed LOL

  • watch it at leakedmovies . biz

  • You watched it Ben? Wow, I am very proud! ;)

  • Who in THE HELL makes you three idiots Professional Movie Critics?????? All of you look like lonely idiots that wouldn't know a good movie if it slap you right in the face. I saw the movie and it was awesome, stupid asses............

  • @pete5047 LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • @pete5047 ~ I agree with you !!! We loved it!!!!

  • I love Glee, but there is no way I'm watching this shit.

  • @595o It was ok. Nothing great. Worth a matinée. Not a full price.

  • @chestveeg it was deff worth every cent.

  • Ben watched the movie. Good for him.

  • I saw this movie yesterday. It was ok. It had its funny momments as well as drama. Im not sure what been was talking about , they repeatedly mentioned her dead husband throughout the film.

  • @spaik007 Christianity is "hip for the kids". At my church the teen and youth ministries are flourishing. I think we have about 80 young adults and over 100 young children. They take part in various outreach programs as well as sing, play instruments and do art. As the congregation grows so does the youth ministry. They seem to enjoy learning about Christ.

  • why would anyone like religion?

  • @spaik007 It's called an opinion.

  • some christian idiot saw high school musical and wanted to make christianity seem hip for the kids. my guess.

  • Khorrible.

  • Cartman Taught me that you can make any song about Jesus

  • I hate movies where the cast is just perfectly ethnically diverse. It so takes you out of the realism of the film. That's why I love shows like "It's always Sunny". 95% of the actors on there are white and they don't feel like they have to apologize for it.

  • @CenkIsAdorable yeah the movie was bad but stfu you sound rasict ass fuck damn

  • @LegendOfGamez Wow my comment totally went over your head.

I'm not saying I like movies and shows with all white ppl....you'd have to be an idiot to actually interpret my comment like that. I'm saying that I don't like it when movies and shows put characters of different ethnicities just because they need that "white guy" or "black girl" or "asian".

  • @CenkIsAdorable I get it now. I feel the same way with Red tails. Sorry bout that

  • @CenkIsAdorable Cenk isn't a bad guy, but I'm not sure 'adorable' is the right word to describe him :P

  • @CenkIsAdorable But how does one determine which films have some kind of forced multiculturalism, and which are simply the natural result of multiculturalism?

  • @UberNoodleX You know it when it's forced. For example I was watching the movie, "The Warrior" the other day and they had 4 child actors in it that were a supposed group of friends.

    One Black male.

    One Hispanic Male.

    One White Female.

    One Asian Male.

I want to live in that Utopian future where all racial boundaries are crossed and a black kid growing up in Harlem has the same chance as going to college as a white kid in Maine. But we don't live in that time yet. Movies should be realistic

  • @CenkIsAdorable It would be a sad day when Casting must Whitewash a film in order to avoid accusations of racial insensitivity. And as for movies having to be racially 'realistic' -- are you exposing your true intentions in this discussion? Why does it bother you to see racial diversity, likely in real life or not? Actually, by showing such 'un-realism', a film CAN help affect cultural change (Look Who's Coming to Dinner). Yet showing what's 'realistic' can facilitate stagnation.

  • @UberNoodleX My true intentions? Dude, the school those child actors were supposedly in was a public school in fucking Pittsburgh. I lived in Pennsylvania for many years. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that that correlation of ethnicities was purely put in just for PC's sake. I went to public school there dude.

And considering that the majority of people in this country are white I see it as perfectly normal that most protagonists in films are white.

  • @CenkIsAdorable you have a good point. But then it comes to the point where sometimes roles aren't written for a specific race. so when it only becomes a problem where a mediocre white person is chosen over a talented black actor.

  • @201stars I just want the best actors to suit that specific role they auditioned for. If every actor just by coincidence happens to be all white or all black then fuck it, sorry political correctness. It's almost impossible nowadays to have a movie w/o a black person in it when both of us know there are many movies where the historical presence of a black person was not accurate.

  • @CenkIsAdorable Seems like a bunch of blanket statements without much basis. Historical and period dramas aren't being destroyed by so-called political correctness. And remember The Help? It was incredibly revisionist -- in favour of Whites. Yes, there ARE cases of forced diversity, but it is not for political correctness' sake. It's PURELY for the money. Demographics. Yet, the majority of main characters are White. Do you assume that to be 'forced' as well, or just 'normal'?

  • @CenkIsAdorable btw I love your username.

  • @201stars He is adorable - Like a giant Turkish teddy bear

  • @CenkIsAdorable actually now that i saw your profile pic, it's actually really creepy

  • @201stars Well we're all entitled to our own opinions

  • I wonder who decided that January is the month where all the shitty movies need to be dumped in. Its cold outside, its dark most of the day, Christmas is over, seems like a good time to just go see a movie. But the theatre is full of nothing but crap.

  • @fortyone0 That's because every movie worth seeing came out just before Christmas to get all the holiday viewers. January has always been the month where all the crap movies are dumped. I'm just happy the Grey is coming out this month! Liam Neeson is a god.

  • *gasp* Ben watched a movie!

  • You guys should review Sister Act.

  • I have the sneaking suspicion this started as another Sister Act script and Whoopi said "haha NO"

  • all the guy in the brown sweater does is complain

  • @WaitingtoHit What was wrong with Fireproof? All of the issues the Lord brought him through are very real problems we face. And for my benefit, can you "explain the specifics of what it means when you say your a Christian"?

  • @chestveeg Please tell me you are trolling, that movie was horrible in so many different ways it everyone should feel ashamed.

  • More noise than joyful.

  • Queen and Dolly. What a random combination.

  • IDK this movie just even bore this sounded painful.

  • @Madorem Also I heard he might be a witch! Quick! Burn him!

  • Did she just say: "God didn't make plastic surgeons so they could starve!"

    WHAT?!

    Fuck that shit sideways, man.

  • While I appreciate the MILF cleavage (Thanx Christy!) the sun damaged skin and DEEP forehead creases really threw me. YIKES!

  • Gosh, I love Ben's comment about faith. Very kind and respectful. But then I always like Ben. Thanks.

  • @scifiwritir1 Me too. I like Ben just a little more.

  • we already have sister act

  • That film sounds like a very bad version of Sister Act 2!

  • Comment removed

  • I tend to dislike any movie about singing and I can't stand movies about dancing. If they wanted to make a movie directed at Christians they should have made the movie Christ centered like "Fireproof" and "Courageous" and other movies made by Affirm Films.

  • @chestveeg Oh yes, Fireproof! Let's go down that road again. I laughed all the way through that atrocity of forced didacticism. Special thanks to Kirk Cameron for finding yet another way to embarass Christians and forcing me to always explain the specifics of what it means when I say I am a Christian.

  • @WaitingtoHit LOL! Kirk Cameron.

  • This film sounds so bad it's intriguing.

  • @philipsidney It is actually Really good.

  • Singing is the only time i feel important. That is the saddest thing i´ve ever heard

  • Alonso is gay.

  • @Madorem Did you just realize this?

  • All you need to know is Latifah and Parton are in it together.

  • nothing triggers a panic reaction in me like realizing a movie im about to watch is starring Latifa

  • This review was better than the movie, and it mostly comes down to the irreligious cynicism, and more importantly, the wonderful breasts.

Am I shallow? I think not. Keep your gospel, give me push up bras.

  • he likes religion? ugh.

  • @spekonaspek pretty much... and i would still motorboat the shit outta those titties.

  • @BigT1377

    you old sailor,you

  • Alonso: "My partner grew up around evangelicals..."

    So wait...ALONSO IS GAY?!

  • @jimmyhapa yes.

  • @jimmyhapa also, a bear

  • @nonameisacat

    EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • Lol Hollywood trying to cash in on Tyler Perry's religious tinged films.

  • This movie is an example of lazy individuals in the film industry who can't come up with an original project.

  • And I would still bang the holy ghost out of Dolly Parton.

  • Everyone knows these kind of movies begin and end with Sister Act.

  • any song can be about Jesus? so can Down with the sickness be about Jesus?

  • FIRST time I saw a movie was when I was 7. It was the FIRST time I ever saw a screen so big and FIRST thing I thought was wow. By the way, FIIIIRRRRRSSSSTTTTTT!!!!!

  • Wow, this movie looks awful.

  • American Idol, in movie form, is not something that I am ever going to see.
