  • My horse is cinchy too. I just go really slowly. I'll tighten the cinch so it's loose, then walk away and get her headstall. Then I'll come back and tighten it a bit more, then go do something else. I just keep doing that until it's sufficient. If you tighten it gradually they seem to accept it better.

  • I am still really not understanding, my gelding has a issue with his girth, it's not pain or anything like that. He just swishes his tail and lifts up his leg, usually he gets smacked on the belly for trying to kick. But I think he might be getting better about it, what is a way to keep him calm during this? And make him think it's okay?

  • You people need to get over youself. They made this movie to help others. and everyone is different. i have actually seen things in this movie that i will try on my horse. she is girthy she tries to bite and she swings her butt around and pushed me and she kicks aswell. i dont think she is in pain because once i get on her she is perfect.

  • Same with my mare... let me know if you find something that helps. Mine has been doing it for years and is fine as soon as I get on.

  • actually, the horse was never tied up. He was being held by an off camera handler.

  • you're an idiot! They actually show the handler in the video.

  • love this vid. Thank you for saying it doesn't help to punish a cinchy horse.
