  • lol they never should have used Larry Tatum as Ed Parker he looks nothing like him was blond white and had a mustache they should have used his son hell he was in this scene anyway.

  • think i saw Ed Parker jr sitting in there.

  • As a matter of fact. I have met him. I think It is silly that he wears earrings on the mat. He also wears make up and dyes his hair. He is a fucking pussy

  • I notice a lot of over weight kenpo guys, and not just this video. you would think with all that moving that would just buring the calories off

  • lol glitch on larrys suit it says ltkka stands 4 larry tatum kenpo karate assossiation hes surposed to be ed parker.

  • This is pure BS and roflecakes...but hey as a Kenpo fan, I enjoyed the humor of it.

  • Funny stuff. Almost as funny as Steven Segal. LOL

  • It's funny how people use their thumbs and figertips to be so bold on line as though they are top criticts and martial arts oficionados...just enjoy the damn video for what it is then you talk sh!t about LT but wouldn't dare outside of this cyber world so shut the hell up for real- why don't you just post a video on here showcasing your skill since you know so much about nothing-WTF ever man...

  • @ iamgodan: Yeah buddy, you keep thinking that. >:-)

  • Tatum is a joke . And so is what Parker's kenpo has become. Funny how the attackers Throw one strike. Then stand still for Tatum to slap them ten times. In the real world. The bad guys don't stand still for you to beat them up.

  • @iamgodan hey! don't say that. If you don't know what consist this system's life you can't do a comment.

  • @iamgodan You've obviously never met the man, have you?

  • GOOD & BAD : the kenpo is 1st rate, BUT what the hell is tatum doing wearing an ear ring? No guy wore this crap in the early 70's; Also, parker did NOT have a mustache & razor stubble. Why the hell didn't the casting director DEMAND that he shave All I see is Tatum, not parker. No respect. Last, I have never found an elvis impersonator that didn't look like he was doing a cheap imiatation (over doing it).

  • He is so slow, the kicks are terrible.

  • @clearcombat cuek 1:10 - 1:12 LOL the kick is looks like a Storm Kick, I think. But LT is doing a demostration of a combat with multiples enemies, that's it.

  • @clearcombat hes old as shit

  • LT - King of hitting people standing still!

  • @ProzacPreacher You don't get it do you? If you fight against the techniques, you would not be getting p for the next one.....The point is to demonstrate not annihilate.

  • Yes I agree , he knew him very well thats for sure.

  • Grand Master Tatum makes a really good Ed Parker. He obviously did his homework and studied Ed Parker's mannerisms. Good job.

  • @MrMopar400 GM Larry Tatum was GM Parker's right hand man for years...

  • @TAKAHASHIGRAY That would explain why GM Tatum is so amazing. I hope the art never dies.

  • Wankers

  • I dont know about you guys...but I could go a Big Mac right about now

  • Larry Tatum is about as charismatic as a truck driver and he kinda looks like one too!

  • David Stanley ..you talk shit , you did'nt have the balls to talk to Elvis like you do in your fictional film ..what a crock of crap ! you are one lying bastard David Stanley

  • I can Belive it, Gran Master Sean P Kelley from Chinese Kenpo Karate is there too!, I'm really honored to saw that. an actor representing Senior Grand Master Edmund K. Parker. How happy I am to watch all this great Masters. Chile is a little country and the information is limited so, only the people of Kenpo Karate can enjoy this lifetime experiences. Regards to all of you.

  • tey should used Moommed Tabatabai for Parker - smooter and faster - and just as FAT as Parker was.

  • Real larry Tatum is playing Ed Parker. White gi kid is supposed to young Larry Tatum. Elvis with the slicked back hair puts his arm around the Real Larry playin Ed Parker Sr.

  • I don`t know this movie but was that guy Elvis or what..?..all i know it was his era..

  • @karateslaginnek This movie is about Elvis Presleys body guard. And kind of an insight to what was going on behind the scene. You need to watch it ...I think you like it.

  • i met larry tatum today

  • @feedbackrichie Thats great congrats on that. I think hes a great guy and an excellent instructor

  • @Giminey Thanks very much.

  • @Giminey I agree with you :-)

  • @feedbackrichie wish i could learn this art dont know what to do in south dakota.... nothin here

  • @605freedom You can order Master Tatums Dvds . He has complete sets . It makes no difference if your in South Dakota or across the world..you have access to learn from Master Tatum. Please take the time to get one Dvd , see how you like it. Trust me youll be thanking me for this advice!! ltatum.com

  • @605freedom thats a shame because kenpo is a great and fun martial art to learn. It would be great if one was started up near to you

  • Why didn;t Ed Parker Jr (the guy at 1:50 who put his hand on the boy's shoulder) play Ed Parker (his father)? Instead it's played by Larry Tatum, one of Ed Parker's students.

  • @sajmeister One was better for the part.

  • @Giminey Probably, but still it was good to see Ed Parker Jr here.

  • @sajmeister my thoughts exactly. I did not recognize him but When I saw Tatum I immediately was like whuh? And Ed Parker in a mustache? whuh? O well, Elvis doesn't look much like Elvis either.

  • Ed Parker Jr at 1:50, the guy who puts his arm around David.

  • i really like this clip...nice...where can i get this movie?

  • @MizKeeley you can rent in from NetFlix. Or rent it from your local Dvd rental store.

  • @Giminey: I aggree. I study under Kenpoprofessor from this vid and we really go at it during our trainings. As a LT long time student, he does move a lot like him and he hits like a mule. That's even with a lot of control. Bruises and blood are commonplace in our trainings. I invite the nay-sayers to come train with us or Master Tatum.

  • Whoever thinks what we do is "slapping" should come to a real American Kenpo class. I've shown some tough guys some of my "slapping" and they never want to train with me again. I wonder why? Larry is using a lot of control there (hence the open hand strikes or "slaps") and he's also going very slow so the non-Kenpo guys and the camera can see what he's doing.

  • @whitedragon48 Ya, I find its hard to find volunteers, other than students of American Kenpo. And I agree with you that LT is using alot of control and regulating

himself for this movie. Also I think that he is using his own students which are used to the non regulated techniques ...But to help the students from Ed Parker Jr. studios "dummy up" alittle easier for this movie. (just my own observation) no disrespect intended. Im just saying LTs own students are more used to his timing.

  • is that ed parker Jr that outs his arm around the kid at 1:50

  • @MetalAgainstMetallic , Yes thats Ed Parker jr.

  • @MetalAgainstMetallic Yeah it is, I just noticed that too!

  • Great clip

  • So you get to wear black pants before you get a green belt now? That was a pretty slow thundering hammers, and he didn't drop for the tendon strikes (with the knee).

  • LOL, I'm in this vid clip at exactly 1:29, far right back corner. And the guy playing Elvis is wearing my other belt.

  • @KenpoProfessor hey very cool..nice job. And I hope you got your belt back..lol

  • @KenpoProfessor Then I know you! LOL....

  • i was lucky to train under his student Pat Silantri. Private lessons at his home. Working with any of these great ones was and still is great. :)

  • Thundering hammers?

  • I SOOOO want to see this video notice Master Parkers son also is in the video clip here

  • I think if you have personally worked with Master Tatum just what type of slapping he actually does. Most people would think he was striking them because of the power he trains with. .As far as having respect...he gets respect from the people who matter the most including everyone hes ever trained.Thats in world of American Kenpo. All you have to do is feel it to believe it ,that would prove itself

  • @Giminey You are absolutely right. I'm one of them.

  • I think Mr Tatum is trying to market himself as a legend that worked with the LEGEND. Most of the stuff he does is mostly hands and slapping. So in his own world he is the best. Tatum would have earned a lot of peoples respect he his stuff was proven.Nuff said.

  • slap-fu

  • i am seeing him on Saturday master Tatum is the Best

  • I used to see him on Saturdays also...And out of all my instructors he was the best. Hopefully Ill get to do it again .Please never forget your are one of the luckiest people who gets to work with Master Tatum...its like striking gold . With ALL his nuggets of knowledge. Congrats my friend.

  • @TheBobcat86 Where was that? I may have been there!

  • First I believe most people wouldnt know what type of Gi or patch hes wearing...other than people in American Kenpo. I dont think he disrespected Mr.Parker at all. Second about his ego...well... if you can you do....and he can, no doubt about it.

  • SECOND, he's not clean shaven. He pretty much looks like a bum. I'm very disappointed in Larry. He never even tried to be Ed Parker in the movie. This was all about his EGO!!!

  • @deputydirectorXXX

so what that he doesn't look clean shaven? that's his look. that's one of the ways you'll remember him by.

  • I have one problem with this movie. It's a shame that Larry Tatum disrespects the late Grand Master Ed Parker, which whom he is portraying by FIRST, wearing his own personal gi. If you look at his gi you'll see a patchon his arm in this clip. He's wearing his Larry Latum School Patch instead of the Ed Parker Patch.

  • I think its a pretty good movie...one reason probably it is because its about one guys true life hanging around Elvis

  • Oh snap do I wanna see this!!

  • Maybe out of respect to Mr. Parker he didnt try to ??? Also maybe you noticed Ed Parker Jr. in the scene too.

  • Great scene...BUT...it was hard to suspend disbelief...maybe it would have been a little more believable had Larry Tatum shaved his 'stache, and put some white into his hair???
