  • Why do you have a Big Ben Clock staring at you? does it help with your voice over timings?

  • BIG VOICE.........CLICK HERE

  • Excellent voice, great control, great variety...also incredibly encouraging to know one can succeed in VO even w/o absolutely flawless diction, perfectly neutral pronunciation, etc etc. It's the other qualities of the voice that take over and drive the event.

  • That was really interesting, nice work and thanks for uploading!

  • Obligatory Howard Stern comment.

  • Damn I'm gonna say like others, you REALLY do sound like howard Stern.

Awesome stuff though, Keep at it!

  • I would say that those are some "tongue-twisters"!!!!!

  • That's one big ass clock! Where did you get it? I'd be interested in buying one. Good job!

  • Not trying to be snarky, just wanting to understand... why to you pronounce it "one hundert" instead of one hundred (at least that's what it sounds like to me.

Second question, I noticed you don't have any soundproofing. Is there a reason you don't?

Thanks for doing this video, it's always interesting to hear other artists work.

  • Haha that was so cool! Your normal speaking voice don't sound like the radio version

  • Those FM stations sure love mess up the sound.

  • Wow, nice voice...How much do you charge for this service? if we can afford we will ask your service whenever we have a show.

  • WOOOW Nice Voice...XD

  • Scott:

...can you suggest an exceptional independent voice over talent agent?

  • This in so very cool and awesome. I want to do it!!!

  • Excellent job. Cheers from Brazil.

  • I can't get over that clock @_@

    It's so bloody big.

I can't look anywhere else in the video....

  • you awemoast sound like howard stern with your normal original voice, hes is deeper and more lasting thean your but similar

  • That was great....I am trying to break into doing voice overs for cartoon animation or any type of voice over....my channel is jamesjuma1 and you can hear my various voices..............You did a very professional job and I learned something....thank you and be blessed

  • i was scrolling trhough the comments and everyone was like "ZOMFG BIHG CLOK!" and "holy shit BIG CLOCKS!" and i was thinking... what the hell are they talking about? i need to learn to be more observant lol

  • I'm jealous, I hate you!! :)

  • He was working that voice. Great job.

  • You need a bigger clock. I have one so big that it takes up my entire studio. I have to record in another room. Seriously thanks for a great video from a pro!

  • You sounded just like Howard Stern at first haha, amazing voice man!

  • awesome cool!!

  • I've got a question. I haven't been booking any gigs. I just got into the industry. I'm trying to learn the craft but no ones really telling me anything. Do you want to raise your pitch at the beginning and end of the read? That seems common.

  • OK, about the clock (That people cannot seem to get over), I did not even notice it. I really want to learn this craft! But thank you for mentioning it everyone, because I am making zero dollars in VO so far, and he is. So now when I see the clock, I realize it is because he "Knows what time it is!!" This man is getting paid!

Thank you so much for sharing this video.

    ~Kev~

  • THATS A BIG EFFIN CLOCK MAN LMAO

  • Good work sir! I do similar work (more commercials and corporate and not so much cool promo work like this) and sometimes use (I think) the same mic (TLM-103?)

  • it seems like that xlr is seeing a lot of tension at the mic

  • The only voice for Canadian radio...all radio stations...love it.

  • Amazing isnt it how far weve come since the days of the editing block and scotch.Love the production parts added to the Imaging. This just shows you how radio has changed from the Big Voice Imaging guy and wouldt it be nice if someone would take a chance and bring the old ways of radio back.Imagine a tight Drake format on a hot country format today and how smokin that would be compared to todays mostly drone and drab radio..

  • Cool!

  • School clock!!!

  • I strongly suggest that any VO talent who would like to get gigs outside of the Canadian wilderness forget everything you saw and heard hear!

  • why?

  • u know u, the man talking important thing about voice over, and u comment on the clock, what that silly thing.......

  • lol..huge clock for sure!

  • What is the processor

  • In a different video he said it was a symetrix 628 digital processor. Hard to get and expensive.

  • huge clock dude

  • I was thinking the same thing

  • ke merdaaaaaa

  • Big Clock...lol

  • Its hilarious how you talk about giving them such a clean and digital audio file, then they send it back to you after putting loads of noise all over it and making it sound like you're in a trash bin.

    Ahhh, radio production.

  • those are the samples they sent back to him at the end

  • HOLY GOD! GIANT CLOCK! AIEEEE!

  • WOW Very very very EXCELLENT!!!

  • Great stuff, I really needed to see the actual read being done. Best of luck and I'll be listening for you on the radio.

Please upload any industrial samples that you might do as I would love to make them a regular source of income for me. Thanks for your time.

    DJ Replay

  • yah big clock.. are there VST pluging specifically for voice?

  • i dont use any.....i always run completely clean as i can.

  • has anyone got the time?

  • I was wondering how you are able to do your reads in such a big room,I have to resort to my walk in closet with foam lined walls...sheesh!

  • HUNDRED!!! not hunerd, kid!

  • Sounds like Howard Stern

  • I love it! It was nice of you to share with us!!

  • thats a huuuuge clock

  • @dansyn

  • nice i wish i could afford descent plugins. but you sound like the weather dude.

  • over and over and over and over and over and again the same thing but why

    it still is awsome

  • that was so cool!

  • haha :) hey post more samples if and when you can, cheers!

  • @noantsproductions Im philipino too, lol, im setting up my own FM station.

  • Ha, his natural voice sounds like Howard Stern's. :-)

  • god... it's kinda like "get to the freaking point already!" @ the beggining.

  • Sounds like a radio voice too me.

I do notice you have a slight lisp, or am I just hearing wrong?

Not that it is anything wrong with that.

Seems like a nice job doing voice over.

  • are you using a neumann tlm 103 by any chance?

  • open your eyes dude, its on the right

  • I wasn't talking to you...................dude!!

  • oh geeee, you can really tell what kind of mic he's using behind the pop screen...did you ever think that it might be a gefell m930 (what I own). looks dead on like a tlm 103,performs better too

  • You should have tried, New Life FM, modern music for the modern world. That would have sounded better!

  • he did

  • he has a script, he can't re-write the copy

  • Great voice. Good to see behind the scenes of a real voiceover session.

  • My family, friends, and co-workers have been encouraging me to do voice over work. It was awesome to see the process, good work. How much does a job like the one on this video pay, and what do I need to do to get started?

  • man...when you fist started talkin...i shit you not...you sounded like howard stern

  • ive been told that before a few times...:P

  • My friends have told me I have a great voice. Do you have any tips for me to get a career in Voice Acting?

  • POST MORE SAMPLES...sounds great

  • Scsibut, WOW! thank you very much Brotha for posting the process, My god im 35 years old and run heavy equipment for a living and now i know what i want to do when i grow up!!! haha what you do really looks like alot of fun and i would love to learn

  • well.....me being a heavy equipment mechanic for 20 years i think i know where your coming from.

  • Sounds Great ...I am just getting into VO work...been in radio for 15 years.

  • you look like atom willard from angels and airwaves. cool, haha

  • hehe sexy voice as usual hehe!!it's funny when you weere reapeating the same thing, awesome vid btw!!!

  • So you just have a TLM 103/pop-filter in a room with uncovered walls? I am surprised that you don't get lots of echo.

  • Yes your right about that. however what you cant see in the video is the amount of sound deadening material thats in the room. Im also using a very quite computer case so any background noise is almost non existent.

  • wow how cool

  • Hmmm - you do voiceovers fantastic! can you send me a private message please with your rates.

  • Great stuff!

  • Excellent behind the scenes insight. More please !

  • Ha, I remember editing a radio ad and it's really loose what you can have flying around in there, all sorts of crazy stuff by the time it's finished. Thanks for posting the process before and then the result after.... Very revealing!

  • cooo coooo
