  • I think that they should move the V8's to this formula one layout

  • I miss Murray Walker's commentary,how exciting does he make it .

  • Thanks for uploading, too young to have ever seen F1 at Adelaide

  • damn, that Williams sounds like a demon, what a sound!

  • last gp at adelaide

last time the cars were pretty

last race for a v12 engine

    last race for pacific!

last race for proper team numbers

truly the end of an era

  • Adelaide has such great history with it. Albert park is just another one of Bernie's picks.

  • The Albert Park circuit is so boring compared to the good ol Adelaide one.

  • @kzbxvz sorry but you say it only because of it´s history..if it was a new circuit, you would say it´s fuckin boring..Albert park is IMO no worse..

  • how i wish it was still in adelaide, bloody victorians

  • @MrBlinesy Im from Victoria, ive been to the grand prix at Albert Park for 11 years now. It's a great venue for racing but it doesn't have the party atmosphere like Adelaide had.

  • @axosf1 Suppose he didn't have to worry, Coulthard took himself out.

  • @blainyrules Funny thing is, my Dad was good friends with a few members of the Williams F-1 team back then and I got to meet Mansell, Hill & a few others..but I have a photo of me, in my Rothmans Williams garb, standing with Coulthard after having just met him, after their debrief session and about an hour before the race..friends have always joked/suggested since then that I jinxed him when he hit that pit-lane wall in the race!!

  • bring it back here ,victoria has never had a bigger croud than what we got and the vics are costing us the economy when we were gaining the australian dollar

  • @ThePOWERMAN101 As a proud Melburnian and an F-1 nut since see my dear, now-departed father woke me up at the age of 6 to watch Alan Jones win the world championship in 1980 (my schoolteachers were often wondering why I was tired on some Monday mornings in primary school!!), and someone who was a track marshall at the first two Melbourne GPs, as well as ballboyed 3 Aus' tennis Opens, played cricket on the MCG during the lunchbreak of a Test match (and am an MCC member), you could say that I'm a

  • @ThePOWERMAN101 sports nut & have been been fortunate enough to see the inner workings of our best events..but my Dad was an official at every Adelaide GP and I was fluckye enough to go to the last two, '94 and '95..and NOTHING I've EVER experienced at Albert Park COMES CLOSE to the atmosphere at Adelaide..the trees held the sound within the area (whereas Albert Park is so open) and the main entertainment street in Adelaide leads RIGHT to the track (whereas Albert Park is 10 mins from the CBD)..

  • Respond to this video... So if anyone was going to be biased toward the Melbourne GP, it'd be me!! But I far preferred the atmosphere of the Adelaide GP..but unfortunately, I can't ever see it returning..but Adelaide have done a great job with the Clipsal 500 since then...

  • I miss the Adelaide circuit.

  • i'd like to hear mcs talking about the differences between old and today f1 cars

  • theyre so much faster than the v8's

  • 210,000 people in attendance. God knows why we lost it to Melbourne

  • That was the only year adelaide ever broke even. Unfortunately adelaide scum bags like v8 supercars more. Sad because the f1 made this city alive.

  • Adelaide should be back on the F1 calander because it is a though track for both car and driver and the lay-out is beautiful. The circuits of these days are almost the same. Adelaide is much better then Albert Park will ever be i think!

  • Fucking Melbourne stealing OUR Grand Prix. The GP has never been more unpopular in Melbourne with their lowest ever crowds in 2010. Time for a move back to Adelaide???

  • @Sturt16 I agree and i'm irish the Adelaide track was and still is better then Melbourne. Love watching the V8 supercars race on it.

  • @chubbz5150ify Yep the Adelaide Street Circuit is much better than Albert Park. The V8's are great on it even though they don't use the exact track they used for the F1's

  • I miss Adelaide!

  • Man this brings back memories! My dad used to work security at the Adelaide GP and would let us in for free. Those painted corners stayed on Adelaide's streets for years after the GP left. They are still actually there but they are all red and white now, used for the Clipsal 500 V8 Supercars Race.

I remember I was there the year Schumacher crashed and when we were leaving, a security guard pointed out to me the trolley used to take MS's car off the track and he let me take it home. Memories!

  • how to bring back williams on the top in 5 steps

    1.bring back villeneuve

    2.add the engine of renault

    3.buy for 50.000.000 adrian newey

    4. add david coulthard for wingman

    5i think i am finished

  • @SearchRodge Villeneuve, are u serious?

do everything u said, but bring in kubica. job done. Villeneuve is a waste of space.

  • @PaperTrail08 Villeneuve was a world champion, and has 11 wins, Kubica has 1, your logic fails.

  • @TheCarlsonsRaiders Every one of those wins was in a championship winning car. EVERY ONE!!! What did he do after he left williams????? nothing, then he went to nascar and failed there too. kubica has one win in a car that wasnt a championship winning car. Kubica wipes the floor with villeneuve.

  • @PaperTrail08 Kubica is with Renault for 2010, a competitive car, and yet not even a single podium. NASCAR is no factor for real racing drivers, and Villeneuve also won the Indy 500 and CART championship.

  • @TheCarlsonsRaiders He had 3 actually. and it was competitive compared to the mercedes team and below. and at most races not even competitive with the mecedes. the ferrari, redBull and mclaren were in a league of their own......thats 6 cars ahead already.

    Kubica > Villeneuve

  • @PaperTrail08 Indy 500 Winner, CART World Series Champion, 11 Grand Prix Victories, F1 World Championship Winner vs 1 Grand Prix victory. There's no contest here idiot, Villeneuve would kick Kubica's ass, open wheel or closed.

  • @TheCarlsonsRaiders I have no interest in How fast he can drive in a circle. Villeneuve is bloody useless. and he wants back into F1 now just so he can be shit all over again. you only think hes better because ur a blind canadian.

ANY proper F1 fan who actually follows the sport would agree with me 100%

    Kubica > Villeneuve

  • @PaperTrail08 Well, clearly your a mindless idiot with no real knowledge of F1 and it's drivers, so I'm done trying to argue with a retard. Have fun being a Kubica fanboy.

  • @TheCarlsonsRaiders Before you call anyone a fanboy, you should really take a look in the mirror. Your a fucking moron.

Villeneuve is FUCKING shit. he done NOTHING after he won the championship. fucking nothing. And big whoop, he won championships for driving in a fucking circle. In F1 he was shit. won a championship in a car that was epic. his only competitor was schumacher who got DQ'd from the championship anyway. Stick to indy car and nascar moron.

  • @TheCarlsonsRaiders IN FACT, Villneuve was bloody dropped from BMW for Kubica. So again, your a clueless moron. And in that season villeneuve raced 12 races scoring 7 points. KUBICA then took over and in the remainig 6 races scored 6points. If you still believe that Villeneuve is the better driver, i generally feel sorry for you.

  • @PaperTrail08 BMW was a terrible team anyhow, Villeneuve in actual fact quit the team after the 2006 German Grand Prix, and Kubica replaced him, I'd have quit too, that team blows. The bottom line is this, one man has an Indy 500, CART championship, and an F1 world championship to his name, the other has a single grand prix victory, there is no contest here my friend, you have no argument.

  • @TheCarlsonsRaiders Left the team because they were crap?

Yet they were 2nd in constructers the season after, and a car that in the hands of kubica won a GP. and in the season you say the team "blows" they were 5th. EXACTLY the same position renault finished this season which you called a "competitive car". once again your a fucking moron. Villeneuve was in F1 for 11 seasons. Kubica has only been there for 5, and not once in a champ winning car. where as villeneuve was in one twice

  • @TheCarlsonsRaiders Do yourself a favour, and dont reply.

    Kubica > Villeneuve - END.

  • @PaperTrail08 i noticed the thread on this video, and for what its worth, jv at the moment has it slightly over kubica, he's harder than kubica and was great under pressure, kubica lacks an edge by comparison, you might get excited over how good kubicas 08 &10 seasons were, jv's 98 & 01 in a car at a similar level to kubicas last year was also impressive, in fact, jv in 98 was miles better than even in 97! at the moment for me the other guy is right

  • @28jaguar Is that a Joke?? they were average seasons at the most. he had the 3rd best car in 98 and yet never done anything. You do know in 97 he won the championship? in 98 he done nothing. Your another clueless moron. In 01 he had an OK year, better than his 98 season anyways. and he performed under pressure?? i guess you dont remember Villeneuve crashing out of the last race in the 96 season to give hill the championship.....slip your mind that did it?? and villeneuve was crap in the rain.

  • @28jaguar like i told the other bloke. DONT reply. As your just as clueless as he was.

  • @PaperTrail08 just because you have a hang up on jv doesnt mean you have to knock me, based on your comments relative to you im a motorsport encyclopedia. i remember japan96, i also remember (unlike yourself) jerez97 (i actually watched these races and unlike you i can performance in "context") jerez97 jv was under the most pressure of all drivers going into a title decider since ive been following gp (1989) and he ended up driving one of his best races

  • @PaperTrail08 You do know in 97 he won the championship?...no shit...really?...you are really really really smart...thanks for infoming me."I" am telling "you" that in 98 jv drove a better season than in 97 despite the title results. it's just the relative performance of the car made it less obvious in 98 and allowed him to get away with slighty poorer driving "sometimes" in 97. but no kubica is the only top driver who's results have have been negated by a weaker car, respond any way you like

  • @SearchRodge what Villeneuve?! bring back Hakkinen instead!

  • if badoers car had started he wud of got a point :( he was a hell of allot better then lamy....

  • Bring back Adelaide to F1!!

  • the golden era, 1985-1995
