  • the truth is sometimes shocking.

  • Okay Jimmy Moy cult-heads: You are in a cult and running after a dickwedd like this jimmy guy??? Why you do so? Cannot be his music... Rott in hell SRI Chinmoy!

  • I love his music, videos, they radiate with such beauty, I can not find this in classical musician, I love them also, but there is some sweetness, some inner climbing experience that his music is giving to me

  • @tejalmk: Stop on drugs dude! Come back to reality, his music sounds like someone being tortured!

  • i thought he only bit on Dilruba. Nice to see he sucked on many instruments. I suck on sitar, I play Beatle sons, but it's better than this. Come to my channel and check it out.

  • The thing about trained musicians is, their music is based on structures by others, and not by their own intuition or feeling. It's like, first you have to learn the theories of others, then to become a great musician, unlearn them. But better yet, skip the learning step, and never cloud your mind with the dogma of others, in the first place.

  • @mildheadwound

Actually learning the music of others does not destroy the intuition. What is does do speed up the learning process enormously and give one a better understanding on how to achieve one's desired music.

This is also true of learning most other subjects.

  • It seems to me like someone would only waste energies posting insults on these videos due to a jealous insecurity about their own playing or lifestyle. While Sri Chinmoy obviously isn't the most technically able musician, he plays with a deep melodic and harmonic understanding and pours much feeling into his playing on whatever instrument. Much the way Ornette Coleman is able to emote through violin and trumpet, despite not being formally trained. And this is still better than Eric Clapton.

  • Your right, of course, fretless, and only now do I see it. I was listening with my ears, not with my heart, but now I understand that Sri Chinmoy indeed did have incredible deep meoldic and harmonic understanding. Here, for example, he manages to make a harmonium sound exactly like a rutting moose, demonstrating our inner connection to all living things.

  • lolololol!

  • That's quite a video. My dog plays the harmonium better than this joker does.

  • Prove it.Upload the video of your canine playing the harmonium.

  • Sorry, Aurora, but Rover doesn't do free concerts for peace. You get what you pay for, as Chinny amply demonstrates in this video.

  • That was a childish reply, lol.

  • No way.Even his dog ignores him!

  • yeah this is horrible. I'd much rather listen to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan for some deep spiritual music.

  • @acr08807

ur an idiot, and so is your dog!

  • @EarthCountess I dont think his dog has done anything stupid- he must be okay

  • @acr08807 I can confirm. I get into deep meditation when I hear his dog playing. But maybe that's only because I am a member of his dog's cult.

  • @acr08807 could you please say what is "wrong" with this harmonium playing?

  • @wholegreaterthansum It sounds like two male mooses trying to mate each other.

  • @acr08807 OK, but lets just suppose that someone found the sound of male moose mating (say that 5 times fast) beautiful - in this respect, his harmonium playing would be perfect in that person's eyes. He would be the ultimate in rendering moose mating sounds and all of the moose mating connoisseurs would hail his abilities.

The point is; there is no objective measurement for art.

  • @wholegreaterthansum If you think shit smells like roses, Sri Chinmoy is your man.

  • IT seems if he stuck to one instrument like one God he might have learned how to play
