The vacuum is measured in "inches" or "centimeters" 30inches or 76centimeters on the standard low pressure guages for air conditioning\refrigeration.Due to the large quantity of air to be removed before it starts to "pull" water in, I run the vac pump on full.Having said that, my home-made vac pumps are ususally based on 1/3H.P. to 5/8H.P.The tunnel fills in about a minute. The inverted aquarium[180 liters] take about 5 minutes. I'm happy to be able to return something to the hobby.
