  • wow i remember the vid for dont you wanna be relevant, looks like they really turned to zombies lol

  • Ryan definitely got the coolest makeup.

  • 1:06

  • johnny is a living legend

  • The cribs grew up listening to the smiths you think they'd ever pass an oppurtunity to work with the guitarist from one of their favourite bands and one of the best guitarists of the past generations? good song

  • All the hipsters getting mad at a good band progressing and looking for new directions. Also, for the record, structurally, this song is a lot more like their older stuff than Ignore the Ignorant.

  • holly shit, this song is AMAZING!

  • i like how they used to be. no offense to the new guy

  • why do bands start adding all this extra production e.g. the courteeners, stick to basics, this still isnt that bad tho

  • i think this is for motd last year, for the table part

  • Johnny Marr was in The Cribs and then he took an arrow in the knee :)

  • @Crazymadmanx Seriously, really now.

  • singer looks like paul sheer. mindfuckers!!!

  • Important cribs announcement soon :)

  • Iohnny disbanded from the cribs recently this year,I liked Johnny marr but the cribs are still gonna be the sex.

  • love the cribs, with or with out johnny marr,he's a fine guitarist. How ever i do miss the subtle violence in the cribs songs.

  • So is that all you "NO JOHNNY MARR" tadgers happy now?

  • this aint on the last album

  • When Marr plays gitaur...Chuck Norris listens.

  • @Rudey699 he should stop listening to marr and start correcting you on the way you spell 'guitar'.

  • @SimonClubDeParis Didnt know that he was a grammar nazi!!! :O

  • @Rudey699 hardly a grammar nazi when it's a basic english word. :O

  • @SimonClubDeParis Your also boring so i aint gonna bother getting into a conversation

with a person who has nothing better to do but to correct slight spelling errors :) taraaaa cyaaa later ;)

  • @SimonClubDeParis Rudey699>you. uninstall your life, cunt

  • @borashnikov hahaha sorry but i just looked on your channel and you like stan stevenson-brynes music, not to mention pendulum. so i think it's time for you to fuck off and gain a real music taste. you're clearly bordering being a minor so i reckon you've still got time to progress.

  • @SimonClubDeParis u mad? brossssssss

  • @borashnikov you like stan? you like drum and bass? you want stan's number? want me to link you up? is he yo idol, man?

  • @SimonClubDeParis u still mad?

  • @borashnikov really mad with cherries on top.

  • @SimonClubDeParis thats really mad ;(

  • Comment removed

  • @SimonClubDeParis Now your hating on Stan SB? What is wrong with you?

  • @Rudey699 haha stan's actually a friend of mine, laddddddddddd. gerrrrrraaa sense o' humor LMAOROFLOLTROLLFAIL\m/:P-_-:L

  • @SimonClubDeParis My humour is top notch man.....troll fail?? you dont know what your talking about obviously -_- tit.

  • @Rudey699 cool story, bro.

  • Respond to this video... troll? emo? what? mcr? bullet for my valentine? deathcore? what?

  • @SimonClubDeParis What are talking about you cretin? xD

  • @SimonClubDeParis Borashnikov is right mate.....stop being like your Dads condom.....a fail :)

  • i could listen to this all day.

  • Would have loved to a documentary about the making of this video. Hearing Ryan Jarman talking in a Wakey accent made up like that would be toooo funny.

  • I love the cribs, and I think Marr's work on Ignore the ignorant is fantastic, but this just seems lazy and tacky.

  • super stvar :)

  • HAVE A LISTEN TO US!!

  • can everybody stop slagging off johnny marr? he's a fucking legend. And the cribs would never stay the same indie band. They would always progress. And it just so happens that Johnny joined as they did that. He didn't 'ruin' the band at all. And he's cool as fuck. I think he looks just as cool, if not cooler, with zombie makeup on.

  • @FretLegendSmithy agreed. I liked to see Johnny play with the Cribs. It was epic moment.

  • 1:08 looks like Tony of Skins xDDD

  • Why am I attracted to him as a Vampire? haha great song

  • this disturbing video has good music.

  • Cara que som foda!

  • Match of The Day Song

  • hey guys Marr is gone now

  • 0:45, doesn't Marr look like Al Pacino in scar face?

  • in all honesty, i dislike the work the cribs did with marr. i dont hate marr. hes a great guitarist. ignore the ignorant took so long to grow on me. i still skip songs. the first three albums i can listen the whole way through. theyre lo-fi perfection. i love this song, however. people saying their first three albums sound the same are ridiculous. they dont sound the same at all. mnwnw is so much more crisp sounding than the first two, and their s/t effort is so much more raw.

  • Marr is killing this group.

  • I love the Cribs, just hope they keep going. I'm hearing rumours that they might split soon. Anyone know anything about this?

  • Celebrity backing guitarist? Where do you begin? You have no respect for indie/alternative music. Let's leave it at that.

  • I have a spare ticket for the gig at Coventry Kasbah this coming friday (20th). £20. Message me if your interested.

  • wakeys finest

  • Sucks that Marr left - at least I got to final;ly see him play with the cribs in Chicago last year at a little club. Even got a high five from him as he exited the stage :)

  • Johnny Marr can never look not Cool

  • Amazing, search 'Spiders - Where does this leave us now?'

  • ouch this bad

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • why are they zombies?

  • 1st Listen : Hate it

    2nd :Bad Track

    3rd: Not bad

    4th : Like it

    5th : HOOKED!

  • @0307133123 i was exactly the same!! when i first heard it i was like wtf?? lol but now i cant stop singing it!!! :D lool

  • @0307133123 yep

  • Where the fuck is Ryan Jarman's guitar?

  • @ThexXxTrooper its been stolen by Johnny Marr!! :O

  • They are working on a new album after their summer shows

    finally!!!!!!!!!

  • great song

  • the video sucked

  • Do I hear a new sound/feel? Quality song! :) x

  • @danelyb You would have about 6 months ago when it was new.

  • Everyone needs to wind their necks in. The Cribs are unreal with or without Johnny Marr. Him joining the band has totally changed the dynamics of their sound. If every recording sounded exactly the same as the last one then everyone would get really really bored.

  • This is shockingly bad. What were they thinking?!

  • I LOVE THIS MUSIC !!!!!

  • I feel this song.

  • One word to explain when i just heard this for the first time before i wrote this comment? one word isn't enough. For all you people saying "pre-marr pre-marr" i've never heard this band before... but this is great.

  • I'm getting a little tired of people saying Johnny Marr has made this band worse with this song... Johnny Marr joined The Cribs because he enjoyed playing with them after a show they did together. Ignore the Ignorant was an amazing album, and I think the change did not make the band better, but it definitely did not make them worse. Any large change The Cribs make on this next album will have been a joint decision, and not any single band members choice.

  • This song is good, different from the other albums but sincerely, this is definitely a good one.

  • For those who want pre-Marr Cribs back, go and listen to The Cribs and New Fellas on repeat.

For everyone else, this is brilliant.

Being in a band should be about progression, improving on your previous output, not churning out re-hashes of your old stuff.

The Cribs have progressed and this song is the fucking bollocks.

  • @loveisonthedole

Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever was also pre-Marr...

  • @loveisonthedole OLOLO bollocks! your so English! but i do agree with you

  • @loveisonthedole no It is bollocks, your ears need replacing.

  • Comment removed

  • ryan actually suits being a zombie

  • Fucking horrible song, I want pre-Johnny Marr Cribs back!

  • Well Johnny Marr could've at least made some effort with the make up.

  • and now for something completely different.....

  • I wish i .....

    nice song

  • get that fuggin keyboard outta there, Cribs.

  • @soxREDwings get marr outta there

  • This record is brilliant. Not often i hear owt these days worth mentioning.

Had this have been 1980, this would have hit the top. Thats no bad thing, it takes a genius to bring it all back again.

Can we obliterate the X factor & bring back Top Of The Pops so that bands with sheer talent can get past Cowells cheesy grin & get a foot in?

  • Ryan Jarman came to chill with our group of mates in curry restraunt in wakie last nyt lol it was a good nyt and he was on his own :) loved it

  • I...actually really like this, and I've been a huge Cribs fan for a long time. I feel bad cos everyone else is saying they hate it hahah.

It's not better or worse than anything else they've done, it's just different. Pre and post Johnny Marr aren't really comparable; it's like apples and oranges. Does that make sense?

  • Not sure about this single and I LOVE The Cribs

  • This is awful. the cribs was good hey scenesters, mirror kissers era but now they just suck. there even worse with jin marr.

  • @youknowsit187 moving mate moving eh? - cant always be stuck like - ken whit a mean?

  • wow! Johnny Marr's electric guitar playing sounds exactly like an acoustic guitar! Must be one of his many godly powers.

  • @soyellowsoviolent or an effects pedal

  • @deathghostboo definitely not.

  • gooood

  • like the intro.............i like the cribs!

  • the cribs have never failed to impress me.

  • Thier first three albums get progressively less lo-fi and MNWNW was about the height of what you can do with a 3-piece punk-pop band. so the next logical step is to add another guitar player, and who better than johhny marr? I still think the cribs would sound radically different to their earlier stuff even if they were still a 3-piece

  • This song is brilliant, whether or not it sounds like their old music. The Cribs were great and still are great, they just aren't making the same music. Can you blame them for trying out new sounds? They've been making simple punk music for a LONG time.

  • need to tour in the UK NOW!!! getting annoyed

  • MARR = GOD ! ...

  • jonny marr has fucking ruined the cribs

  • i listen to this song just for that fucking awesome guitar effect.

  • @CAR18MEN o rly? Then what was their FIRST?

  • @explosivefilms112 "Don't you wanna be relevant"

  • @explosivefilms112 dont you wanna be relevant

  • this song is amazing after the first time you listen to it, at least in my opinion

  • the cribs were great even before they hired a celebrity backing guitarist.

  • @mattak i think the cribs were better before they hired a celebrity guitarist

  • @emmittanervend boooo!

  • @mattaki i thought they were better pre-marr, i was mega into the lofi, really scratchy sound, think when marr came in it all got a bit too polished and chilled out, i loved when you thought that they could fuck up at any minute or just go nuts and the whole gig would just come to a halt for an extremely sweaty ryan jumping into the amps. i get this too but just not quite the same cribs i loved so dearly

  • im starting to notice the theme in their videos....

    ZOMBIES!!!!!

this is their second vid that features the living dead!!!!!

  • johnny basically created his own band when he joined, great music, but it just isn't the cribs anymore

  • @ThisIsSoSwell very true, i like both styles the original and the new style with johnny id like it if they would bring a few more songs out like they used to

  • @gonzax I ment like... He wears all these skinny jeans but he's getting on a bit. Now i love Johnny like everyone else here but thats the first thing that strikes me when i watch the Cribs thats like my divine opinion and if your offended by this i'm sorry but thats the way i see it!

  • to me, johnny fits in perfectly now and at first i was completely against him becoming a crib. this is amazing.

  • Johnny marr is obviously not playing an acoustic guitar haha :D

an AWESOME SONG all in all!!!

    THE CRIBS RULE!!

  • long live a bands progression, as they experiment with new sounds, colors, textures and members - to create something pleasurably audible for us all

i love the cribs from the beginning to this

    another number to housewife

    long live the cult x

  • Cool song

  • wtf is it with all the makeup and shit? hope you got payed alot for that shit coz you look really weird. and who's idea was the synth sound? hmmmmmmmmm...We used to say when we were younger me and my best mate that when we grew up we wanted to be househusbands..hahaha

  • This is a brilliant song.

  • idiots! fuck Jonny Marr the Cribs dont need himM its all you American idioys that love him......the smiths are over............long live THE CRIBS!

  • Has anyone else noticed that Johnny Marr doesn't exactly fit in with these young cool kids? Or is it just me?

  • @jambojangles

yeah, it's just you. Johnny Marr is a God.

  • Comment removed

  • i'd drop my trousers for Johnny Marr.

  • The first time I see Ryan not playing guitar at all.

  • Weird to see Ryan not playing guitar

  • It'd be cooler if people stop comparing them to what they used to be, or what they're like with Marr, either way they're still fucking incredible so just stop getting all bothered and just appreciate the music

  • @jdstrings84 exactly :D|

  • 'Ignore The Ignorant' was one of the best albums of 2009. Period.

The Cribs never cease to amaze!

  • ADDICTED

  • Dam so many kids are unhappy with Johnny Marr. Its ridiculous and more than half of them probly never herd of him before is why. As a guitarist he is extremely good, I cant think of any indie guitarists in the same field (maybe Doug Martsch). And if you think he ruined The Cribs, a band that has sited him as an influence, then it is because you liked how messy it sounded before(an indicatore of a need to practice more or the riffs are lacking). Now the band's sound is more polished.

  • @number1lettera well in that case, does the libertines need practising ? no i dont think so, that the whole style of the music, if the libertines or old cribs were all polished up as you say, then it would take away half of the bands character, like whats happened when johnny marr joined, dont get my wrong, i adore johnny marr being ym all time herp and the smiths being my favourite band, but just because he's an amazing guitar player, doesnt mean that his style will compliment the cribs sound

  • @hatescoutingforgirls the cribs have changed there whole sound because johnny marr has joined, obviously because johnny will input his influences in the band there for changing the bands sound slightly. in my eyes theyre not the cribs anymore, i like a couple of theyr new songs like we were aborted and we share the same skies, but this song right here just isnt the cribs, i dont care what anyone says

  • @hatescoutingforgirls i noticed a synth is dominant as well and im sure that credit doesnt go directly to johnny marr. but the last album style had that single note melody that theyve always had but you hear the chords progressions have changed drasticly. They actualy used a 13th chord on one track i recall and the use of a slide is herd. thats all the major difference i herd in the new album. You can say that made them sound not like themselves but it has improved the cribs sound in my opinion.

  • @number1lettera id would think that the vast majority of cribs fans would prefer the cribs before johny marr joined than after, i have nothing againsty johnny marr, johnny marr is my all time hero, but more complex and defined style doesnt neccesarily mean better, like if mark knopfler was to join the arctic monkeys, yes it might make the all over quality of the song writting process a great deal better but it wont necesseraliy make them a better band? the day JM joined was the day the crbs died

  • @hatescoutingforgirls thats subjective. basicly what your saying is the songs may be better but that doesnt mean your going to like it as much as the old style.Thats inteirly fine but stating "the day JM joined was the day the crbs died" is a little over the top if you look at their early music to their newer stuff before JM their music was hedding in this direction but with the addition of Marr it was a huge boost and the cribs wanna go in this direction or else they would have left him out.

  • @hatescoutingforgirls i guess what i ment by sloppy is a lack of complexity like how punk is. just strait 8th note 5th chords. Johnny Marr has improved the bands sound in my opinion. It only adds to the character to the band. its still the same lyrical style and song form. His style seems interchangable too. his work in the smiths, the the, modest mouse, the cribs all sound different. libertines sound verys for the record. I dont know to what time u r refering to.

  • fuckn love it!

  • 3.49 onwards is the best bit. If the whole song was like that (basically more old Cribs) then it would be such a tune. Unfortunately they've succumbed to the techno/electric-whatever-the-hell-that-shit-at-the-beginning-is craze.

  • First time = This is fantastic. :P

  • It's a grower, but it's still not that good. The make up is well done.. Except Johnny Marr still looks like a cunt, with that fucking power stance of his.

  • @robba01 Johnny Marr is a god

  • @blackhawk12151 Yes, he is.

  • @blackhawk12151 Yes he is, indeed. ♥

  • No, no.. To the second time... Big, big song.... Dios qué sería l mundo sin los Cribs.

  • thank fuck these boys havent been lured in and sold out..... would have been so easy to do when johnny marrvelous joined aswell. what a band!!!!

  • so very good.

  • underated band.... and i'm glad they are

  • you dont buy into the corpse indie scene.it buys into you .its a parasite.leavs the victim out of pocket

  • Love This Song, Deffo A Grower!

  • this song is amazing!!

  • i hope The Cribs will still keep producing faster, light-hearted songs

  • i think the whole zombie thing is to show how that once you buy into the corporate music scene, you're basically a zombie. listen to the lyrics.

  • I think that comparating this to other shit music that the people hear today like Kesha or other boring Pop Singer that uses apelative music this is a progress to the music.Johny Marr added so much to The Cribs.Instead of criticize, listen to this and stop to think about what is good music nowadays.I think it's a great tune, and comparating this song to what have been made in name of Rock'n Roll this is REALLY a great song

  • took me a lot of listens but this is well good! I can understand wy people don;t like their new stuff as much but how boring would it be if they just went on doing the same stuff or went all kings of leon and became a new stadium punk band- not cool! Stick with it!

  • this
