I don't know why anyone would complain at the bad playing, the cameraman was even worse. I think Mohammad Ali could have filmed it better.

Last of all, I don't know if they've ever used a microphone before, but you put your mouth almost on the thing, or sound doesn't come into it. That alone could have boosted the performance.

You were definately not "peer pressured" into playing Freebird, you set that up, and the sad thing is that you couldn't do it. Next time, instead of practicing two songs and making both suffer miserably why not just practice one, and make it suck. One of the more advanced methods for discouraging calls of 'Freebird' is to perform it whenever it's called for, even if you've already played it. Anyone who shows up at a future show will know not to heckle you in that manner, unless they really like Freebird. Given enough shows and time, word will get out that you're not to be trifled with. That, or you're turning into a Lynyrd Skynyrd cover-band.

Anyway, I love how those guys tapped into a classic like Stonehenge. Spinal Tap forever!
