I just wanted to say as a person who struggled immensively with suicidal tendancies and mainly cutting for over half my life, as someone who has and is still battling mental disabilities...you are not even close to alone. There is hope, if there wasn't I wouldn't be able to type this right now. It can and will get better. I can't speak for everyone but my heart goes too you and if you need a friend or just someone to talk too that will always respond...send me a message.

@duckyboobs42895 It's called deterance. The harder it is, the more less likely the person will commit the act. It's impossible to completely prevent it, but making it harder will help save lives.
My only hope, is that after the person survives, people do help and make the life worth living.
i used to be suicidal and would cut/eraser burns on my arms. but i went to a treatment facility and got help and now i love life and i truely found god. i say truely cause i've been raised in a lutheran family and i even went to bible camp/other events and taught sun school but never believed in god. i'm glad i did. after i was treated i heard anbout TWLOHA at hot topic and i immediatally became a fan. love is the movement <3
@n1bleachfreak i used to be atheist and even went through a phase where i was satanist and used to be suicidal but i went to treatment and got help i now love life and because of that i truly found and love god <3
this is one reason i have never never left a hatefull comment on any thing i see or read you never know what people are going through in their life, or even in that day. like my momma always said "if you can't say nothing nice, don't say anything at all." i'm 22 and i try to live by this advice everyday of my life.
@sk8ur1 I'm glad you care in this way. People going through this are less likely to reach out on their own. If you'd really like to help, plenty of people are professing their situation even in comments here. Send them a message of encouragement. Trust me, it really makes a difference. Reach out.
just recently my friend commited suicide... last year she organized a TWLOHA day at my school. this organization gave her hope and kept her alive 1 more year than she thought she could live for. thank you for keeping her here this 1 extra year, if this organization was not here i would have never gotten to mean this wonderfull girl and got to see her smiling face everyday. RIP chantal,we miss youso much i hope you are doing well were ever you are.
@alicia123abc1 please don't just give up on finding help, im not sure how old you are but if your still in school talk to a trusting teacher or school nurse. they should beable to help somehow. Maybe you should sit down with your mom and explain to her how you feel what your going through everyday some time its easy for parents to feel as though their kids have no worries but they need to know the truth even if its sad and scary stress to her you need HELP! i hope this can help in some way

honestly if someone really wanted to die they would jump onto the net and then roll off....its a good idea but it wont stop a determined person...

I really admire how they haven't dramatised the issue and refused to show footage that would lead to further problems.
This is something which the media in the UK at any rate is guilty of - giving gory details that has a profound effect on the vulnerable.
Same would go for movies that glorify all sorts of negatives.
This video was an example of the best of humanity

i remember watching a documentary on this bridge accounting for all the suicides. this is some serious shit.
