I'm sure you know this already, but NECA is coming out with Terminator 1 figures which is being renamed to "Terminator Collection".

Series 1 contains yet another Endoskeleton. Although, this one has a different headsculpt and the mouth is actually closed this time. Also, the brow doesn't come down on the figure giving him the "angry" look so the eyes are more visible and more red.

Looks to be by far, the best Endoskeleton yet.

both of these versions are quite rare these days especially here in sweden, but i bought some of the 6" Playmates version at Toys R Us since they're the only ones available here. they're pretty cheap but not really that bad like most people say.

And this version of the Movie Maniacs has the large lower chest plate. There were two versions. The smaller more accurate lower chect plate was the more coveted of the two.

And a big mistake with the Movie Maniacs version, which I CANNOT understand why they did it, is that the biceps were put on the wrong sides of the body, making them backwards. You can clearly see this at 3:15, if you pause it, when he turns the figure. I don't own this figure, but if I did, I'd cut them off and switch them to the right sides. Pretty stupid that the company didn’t realize this.

i think our industry canot made those.. i am thinking.. how they do to assemble all the smal parts.. the pistons and articulations? have someone to do this only?

I have both of these T-800 figures...and I Prefer the "MCFARLANE" version over the Neca. It has a better head sculpt and seems more movie accurate....fragile but accurate. The only cool thing about the NECA version is the Big gun it comes with and the base! But money goes on the McFarlane version!

I think that the cult classics is the winner. It looks like it has more poseability, and it's more movie accurate. The base is also a winner and the gun looks pretty cool too.

The movie maniacs, however, has bad poseability in the lower legs, has no base, the gun isn't large enough, and the wires around the head are very inaccurate.

Now what I want to see is a NECA terminator 2 battle damaged endoskelton review!

the cult classics looks wayyyyyyyy more movie accurate than the movie maniacs version. and you can close the mouth one one i had although it doesnt look quite as good as the movie maniacs version. both are great figures but overall, the cult classics version is more more movie accurate.

The Cult Classics model design is more movie accurate than the Movie Maniacs design, besides the open mouth thing (I don't understand that either. The movie maniacs model is more detailed and shiny though, I'll give ya that.

I'd say now that the Robocop figure is several years old, finding him at your local toy store would be impossible, your best bet is either Ebay or your local Toy conventions

Where do you live? any good comic/toy shops around? In uk, we have a famous shop called FORBIDDEN PLANET which sells great movie stuff like toys, dvds, posters etc. Comic stuff too.

You can also look online for sites like NECA. They do good robocop toys which is the same company as my one :)

Great review on these figures. Glad you discovered the Neca version mouth does have articulation. with is mouth open like the playmates version they look like an old man with out his denchers hehe. I'm now pumped to watch T2 my fav movie. Jeese T4 was great but I still wonder how a James Cameron version would have been.

The Neca Endoskeleton has an open close mouth gimmick, so he can have his teeth appear together just like the movie manics version. I've had the movie Maniacs version since it first came out. Fragile and my glue gun has saved it from being ruined. Added a couple coats of gloss to the movie maniacs to have a more shiny metal appearence that looks great even to this day.

You neglected to mention the one thing about the McFarlane figure that really bugged me; The gigantic feet! Seriously, that terminator would have to dress like a clown to have any hope of hiding those things.

I know they made them oversized so that it would stand up better, but they look ridiculous.

Just got the new NECA 7" T-800 endoskeleton. The head looks a lot better, but it doesn't come with a stand which is disappointing.

First of all I want to say this is a really good comparison between two outstanding figures! next the movie maniacs endoskeleton looks a lot like the famous T-888 from TTSCC TV show. Then again it is my opinion. I would prefer the cult classics though. Anyway nice video 5 stars man!!

But which one is closer to the film design? Because there are some major obvious differences between the two - especially on the torso. There are good things about each version - the McFarlane toy looks more like a machine.

I'd say with the paint scheme and the head sculpt that the McFarlane Movie Maniacs is a more accurate figure the downside is that the Movie Maniacs Endoskeleton is alot more fragile so its a bit of a toss up I guess

I think the accesories and the fact that he's more solid,..you're best bet is the Cult Classics Endoskeleton..the base is alot nicer and the gun is more accurate....just sucks that I like the other head more

outstanding reviews...i watched both and my biggest problem i have with the movie maniacs honestly are the shoulders. They sit up higher then where the arm joins the upper torso..that bothers me...i'm off to go buy the neca :P

i think that the neca cult classics looks more true to the film. but i do still like the movie maniacs but it breaks easily.
