this sucks just found out that cruise will play reacher. cruise is a good actor but reacher is imposing, 6ft 5in 210 to 250lbs i dont doubt cruise's acting ability but as a fan of the book i cant get around the fact that a person shorter than 5ft 9in will be playing a character thats as big as Cam Newton...i mean come on we need a guy at least as tall as Timothy Olyphant or viggo mortenson a person with size who says alot without saying a word!

The main attraction to the books, for me is the pace. Here you have this intense guy, quiet to a fault at times, but inside, his mind is running at 100%.

The structure of concise, direct, rapid-fire, sentences is what gives the books their edge in my opinion. I'm left to wonder: how they are planning to convey these thoughts/decisions thruoghout a motion picture?
