  • I got a bit misty when the CBC used this during the Jets' return. Fantastic track.

  • Just discovering this song after seeing the montage before the big Jets game. This band is fantastic and I don't know how I missed them in the 90's!

  • I can't believe it..2011 already..blink of an eye...

  • Underrated, so much talent. Way to go guys! And yeah this song should have been the opener to the Jets.

  • Best Canadian band EVER. Love love love them Can't wait to see the in Vancouver next month!!

  • this song was the most perfect song that could have possibly been used for that HNIC intro. The lyrics are sooooo suited for the return of the jets.

  • Hockey Night In Canada used this classic in a video montage to reflect on The Winnipeg Jets prior to their season opener. Was very special. Great job as usual HNiC!

  • Why isn't this band a big hit in the U.K ? They are great.

  • This song is Winnipeg.

  • i dont know bout u, but good drinking song wooooooooooohoooooooooooooo

  • Great band to see live!

  • I miss my Watchmen CD.... where did it go?!

  • saw them live back in the day, best live show ive ever seen, i love u guys!!

  • I love this fucking band!

  • Another Band which is mostly unknown in Europe... iam from Germany and i love this song...

  • These guys used to practise in the mcclaren hotel boiler room here in winnipeg. Much love to them. This town of ice and snow!

  • @Laynecobain87

well known since they named one of their albums after that room.

  • i live jus down the road from the bass player :)

  • Two people with no taste

  • Nothing changes 'cept the red lights.

  • For the past few years, I've been attempting to write a screenplay and I've always had this song in the back of my head whenever I plan out the story. It's sort of become the unofficial theme of the screenplay.

  • The lead singer Danny definitely looks like Vin Diesel, the guitarist looks like Dana White from UFC, though I can't think of anyone in particular who remids me of the bass player and drummer. One of the best Canadian bands to come on the scene during the awesome '90s.

  • The Watchmen were awesome!

  • @mooseballies Were? They always will be awesome. Everyone will get such great emotions or memories from all of their songs. Maybe they'll jump back into main stream again...

  • The Watchman were a big part of the 90's when I lived in Canada.

  • @DirtyMagic my parents are from buffalo its all about the hip lolz

  • killer gnarly!

  • I was only in grade 5 back then...wow...

  • the bass player is so cute....:P

  • haha i used to love this whole cd..

    old memories..

  • I remember seeing these guys at Edgefest 98 :D I still love this album

  • I just came home to winnipeg after being gone for three years....and how, this song....hits it perfectly.

  • Where can we find the Lusitania/Lusitana *sp* song?

"Nothing ever changes, drink the wine and rearrange it" Can't find that song for the life of me.

  • The only video I've found was the one that was recorded during the Toronto Maple Leafs Pre Season game.

I heard that live, on the news telecast while they were playing it. I was so happy!

  • @bluestarangel wishful thinking with regards to the Leafs winning a cup again? (any day now) ;)

  • i can't stop listening to this band. when are they coming back to calgary????

  • For those who don't know, they are a band from Winnipeg, and this song is about coming home to Winnipeg. I feel honoured to live in the same city that they grew up and formed in.

  • This song makes me feel 12 again!!!!!

  • The Singer looks like Riddick :)

  • but sings way better ;)

  • It just seems like yesterday I was a little 11-year-old hearing this song on the radio all the time :)

  • i was thinking of that name for a band except i was thinking of the graphic novel

  • they r an awesome band and the lead singer is HOT

  • I'll be seeing them in four days in Calgary. Can't wait.

  • Another great Canadian band! This song reminds me of Alden, New York. 1998 was a great year, and alot of fun for us in Alden. To Steve, Terra, 'Shell, Jeff, Chris, Liz, Tanya, Rich, Brian, Debbie, Lauk's Landing, Alden B and G, and esp. Kelly....thanks for the memories, y'all! Now that it's almost time for me to take off into the sunset, I'll miss you guys, and look forward to being all together again, another place another time. CH.8 UNDERGROUND!

  • I can't believe this was on MuchMoreRetro!? It's from 1998... it's only 10 years! 10 years?? Wow time flies!

  • You know, you feel old when... it is only 10 years ago.

  • HERE IT IS!!!!!!!

The Watchmen reunion Friday Sept 26, 2008 @ Toronto's Legendary Horseshoe Tavern

  • Bring Back the Watchmen!

  • Cheers to road trips and The Watchmen, how 'bout one more go around?!

  • OLD SKOOL

  • this is the best song

  • I saw for the first time in london in 1994, my first year away from home at western, the very next week during thanksgiving they played my home town ottawa. that was an incredible and crazy time in my life - the watchmen were my favourite band for awhile... and they were amazing live, one of the live performances, a kind of super-charged energy that the lead vocals smooth out brilliantly.

  • they are underated

  • My favourite driving song

  • They are one of the most underated bands. Nothing better than popping in some Watchmen while sitting out in the sun with a cold bevvie. Wish these guys were still playing.

  • This is perfect road music.

  • i really wish these guys were still around amazing voice and musicianship not to mention the lyrics are amazing

  • i'm related to the kid in the video

  • I live in Wales in the UK and have never really seen these guys. Quite odd to put a face to a sound. Miss this band - they had a profound effect on me. My favourite song of theirs. Wish more Canadian bands would make it to Britain.

  • p.s. anyone know who the people are in the photos on the posts? what's the story there?

  • It's funny that the song is about Danny's hometown of Winnipeg yet it was filmed in Toronto.

  • ha! funny. i just clicked on this video for the first time and that was my exact thought--why is this in TO?

ah well... still a nice tribute to friends, family, and love in frozen town Winnipeg.

  • This band just makes awesome music. Why does everyone have to scrutinize a bands' lirics. They're just artist that sound great, sit back and enjoy.

  • Right. If you really love music those external details never come into play. Either you enjoy it or you don't.

    This I love.

  • Ken was the bass player a this point not Pete, he had left the band...

  • I miss this band. All Uncovered is by far my favourite son g by them, but this is right up there. Wish they would make music again.

  • Great song and a great album. Although I think "Stereo" is still my favorite since that was the first song of their's I heard.

  • I accidentally came across the Watchmen while looking for this same titled song from the sixties. If it wasn't for Napster(in the days before it was shut down) I'd have never bought 3 of their CDs.

  • I love the bass player Pete is so sexy

  • Not filmed in Winnipeg, but it is about Winnipeg.

    Awesome tune and video...

    Cheers for the posting

  • thanks for the info but they are from Winnipeg right?

  • I wonder if this was filmed in Winnipeg where they are from

  • Thanks Kurdtss

  • Awesome song from one of the best albums ever made!
