one question... exactly how does one uses this technique... or why? I'm still new at knitting so I guess you can say I'm no expert but anyone has a pattern or something I can see why this is usefull??? thanks
It's a good way to secure in ends of yarn while you knit, as opposed to weaving them in later. Used if you need to change colours or join a new ball of yarn.
I agree. I'm dying to learn how to knit the ends in, but 1) the video is a bit too fast and 2) it needs to be zoomed in on the actual stitches. Please!
Thanks! I've been trying to "get" this technique for the past week, this is the first demonstration I've seen in the style of knitting I learned from my Norwegian grandmother.

Not enough lead-in explaining what you are doing. Also, it is too fast and hard to get exactly what you're trying to show.
