how dose the sound still go when its plughd in ur stereo? and how do they work?

@uutyr1 you can use an audio splitter from your stereo source one part goes to your spectrum and the other to your speakers.

@DanFrederiksen there is no major technical difference between the two, but what matters is the looks, and it can't get any better looking than with bargraph LED's

@youritronics VFD's/any luminescent display will always improve the looks over LED's. But LED's still look good, just I prefer VFD's and nixies. Good job!

@youritronics I bet its hard even to find music that hasnt been compressed so you can see all bands fully functional :P i've seen the other video with the updated firmware and the first mode is my favorite too (and song is not so bad ^^)

Does your filtering account for the relatively flat PSD of the audio signal? Usually the PSD of audio (well, most real-life baseband signals for that matter) is higher at the low frequencies and rolls off at higher frequencies.

Go onto ebay and search for LED dot matrix, you can buy a dot matrix display there and then program an arduino to control it.
