These whales swam upriver from the ocean for 90 miles or so to reach Sacramento - certainly not unknown, but very unusual.

WOW......that is soo cool!! I went whale watching with my mom and little brother once. It wasn't worth it. The waves were so choppy that we couldn't stand up, and, even when we could stand, there was never enough room for us to get in to actually LOOK at the whales. My mom was like:

"Never, Ever again." LOL Great video tho!

*UPDATE* 5-29-07...good news...it seems that after 2 weeks of frolicking in the fresh water, Delta and Dawn slipped through the golden Gate and into the safety of the Pacific Ocean..lets wish them well...someday our children will be able to tell their children a whale of a tail..thank you wayward whales...Leo
