In this day and age of so-called "Enlightenment" I find Peter's treatment to have been

Hideous and Disgusting, also by hypocritical psalm-singing "Gentle Jesus" Christians.

(But they suffered enough prejudice, now it's someone else's turn)

I've been a soldier for most of my life and, if I'd been there, I would certainly have taken him in, and God Help the copper who threatened ME!

Unquestionably the Cornwall police did & have continued to conduct themselves in this case abusively and failed repeatedly to meet basic standards of conduct concerning honesty, transparenct, integrity & impartiality due to embedded & protected homophobic attitudes & practises in the Devon & Cornwall constabulary.

@smurfboywv Don't worry he is fine! He's lived on & off as a tenant of my pensioner mum & lives there currently. Peter will be 22yrs old nxt mth. He has tried several times to live with his paternal family again, Each time it has ended with him going back to my mothers. The Cornwall police have continued with their threats & intimidation to prevent the abuse of & by the Cornish Authorities being investigated properly, IPCC have aided in the police cover up!

March 2011: Gaurdian newspaper report: Cornwall authorities:- Tory-controlled Cornwall county council, which has imposed cuts of 40% on local homeless charities at a time when official statistics show it has the highest number of rough sleepers in England after Westminster.

2011: Despite having raised the issue of youth homelessness in Cornwall in 2005 & been relentlessly attacked by Cornish authorities for doing so...Tragically in Jan 2011 a 17yr old homeless girl called Lorna May DIED in Cornwall, let down yet AGAIN by Cornish authorities

No surprise that Cornwall social/childrens services did nothing....its what they do best. Oh! and wrecking the life of a mother who has mental health issues by conniving to remove her children. The getting them adopted out when there is a perfectly sound grandparent base here for them.

It seems there is a dark history of INSTITUTIONAL CHILD ABUSE carried out by Cornish Authorities, in particular Cornwall Social Services.

Cornwall Social Services were still forceably taking children from their parents & sending the kids alone to Australia as late as the 1970's.

I personally KNOW former Social Services director Nigel Druce was a vindictive homophobe. I won a County Council enquiry when they refused statutory care to a dying gay HIV/AIDS sufferer in Cornwall.

@ lineswine. Actually, it was that he was 15yrs old which was the initial issue. The Cornish authorities had ALL declined to assist a child. Fortunately, after prolonged campaigning Ofsted finally inspected Cornwall's Childrens Services in 2009 & condemned them in a damning report forcing the government to take over. Mr Dean Ashton, (A HOMOPHOBE to my knowledge) head of Cornwall Children's Services was forced to resign.

We are still working on the problem of homophobic police in Cornwall.

How can anyone ignore a homeless person? I dont care if said person is gay, bisexual or strait, its not christen to ignore them and what they are going though. The greatest gift that we can give another person is love, even when we dont agree with their sexual preference. If we dont love our neighbors as we love ourselves, I believe that we are killing our own humanity.

FINALLY! The (IPCC) Independent Police Complaints Commission (UK), that worthless & biased organisation in favour of police, has referred complaints of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary homophobic abuse, attitudes & practises to the Professional Standards Unit.

However, we do not expect ANY honesty, integrity, impartiality or transparency of conduct from Cornwall police for this investigation into FIVE years of police homophobic vendetta against gay persons!

That has been our experience!

He just had a completely crap start in life for his first 15yrs & God knows how many stepfathers. (I lost count at five!)

However, he is like a member of our family now and has celebrated every birthday & Christmas with our neighbours & friends since 2005.
