omg, at first i used some random plastic cards i had lying around but this was.. HORRIBLE.

then i decided to find my bicycle's because i knew i had a deck in my house, when i found them... omg, i did everyone of his tricks from 1-7 in a minute haha

Ive found that when using an older deck of cards you can just put your thumb on the side of the cards and then lift it up as your speading them out.

u can fan any deck of bicycle cards as long as they have been taken good care of even if they've been used alot sometimes it takes more pressure or how you do it :] but thanks for the tutorial ^^ just figured id give people some of my insight

I don't really have a good answer for that. I just break out a new deck when the one I've got starts getting too worn out but I've never really paid close attention to how long one lasts. It really depends on how much you are using them and what sorts of things you are doing. Do you go hours a day every day or just a few minutes every other day? Even with daily use I usually can use a deck for at least a few weeks, maybe longer, as long as I don't drop 'em in water or something.

Any magic shop sells fanning powder. You put the cards in a bag and some of the powder and shake it for a while and they fan like brand new. Hope that helps.
