In my opinion, this remix could be better. Maybe a little less chaotic and more refined, perhaps orchestral in organization? To me, the guitars are too harsh, but I could definitely see them being used on the flute part, which is a good idea. And I do agree, the intro could be a little less drawn out.

It isn't a bad remix at all, and it does showcase some pretty intense skills, it's just my opinion.

I am bound to lose my head for this, but I cant see what everyone is on about with super metroid. I am not saying it is a bad game, but i am not saying it's a good game. It has some great tracks, and the gameplay is as good as any other metroid, but to be honest, I just think everyone lets nostalgia cloud their judgement a bit.

Once more, Super Metroid, not a BAD game, but not an OMG FANTASTIC game either. My personal favourite metroid game (not including prime) is fusion.

@alboix56 If your processor sucks then thats probably why. But if you just grab yourself a super nintendo emulator and any usb controller, it should run fine assuming your computer just doesnt suck. The game will run great if your computer can handle it.

I don't hate Metroid Prime series for being in 1st person. I like Prime series, we feel the Metroid universe even playing in different style. But I still prefer the classic 2D platform style. Good thing Metroid Other M is more 2D platform than 1st person.

Metroid Prime was one of the best games I'd ever played.

Typically I suck at First Person Shooters, but Metroid PRime's lock-on made it so much fun for me.

And to think it wasn't until about 6 months ago that I'd finally played the Metroid Prime trilogy for the first time.

Hell yeah man, I prefer 2D over 3D any day. But you would have to admit.....Metroid Prime was an awesome game. If they remade Super Metroid exactly how they did Metroid Prime with the physics, control, graphics, and so on, it would be awesome as well....but just as good as a graphically upgraded Super Metroid side scroller for the Wii....I would buy it either way if it were 2 or 3D.

And you are part right on that. The glass bridge separates the two sides of Brinstar, where that music originates. Before you are able to break that bridge, I believe the map still states that as Brinstar. I've logged many man hours on that game since it came out on SN, but its been a long while since I have played it, so correct me if I'm wrong.

the glass tube and the rooms on either side are maridia. But this particular part of Maridia still has the lower Brinstar music, IE, this song. It's not until you get further up into Maridia and go through a door does the actual "Maridia" music start. :-)

I like what you have done with the song. I do have to say I like it better than the remake Nintendo did for the Metroid on the game cube. However, I have to agree with DaDude, the background ambiance needs to come down a bit to enjoy the main theme of the song. Also the intro is a bit long. But unlike DaDude I like the guitar, I think it fits right in!!!

Very nice. The ambiance is good. You definitely have the resources to nice instruments. I don't think they used quite well though. Also, it's difficult to enjoy the main tune with the amount of ambiance there is. If you could reduce it, and make the main instruments sound out better... the guitar sounds... I can't put my finger on it. Awesome, but out of place? No, it's not that...

It's definitely a good remix. However, like all good pieces, it can still be improved. Keep at it though! 4 stars.
