This lady was one of many singers my Dad got a chance to sang in some clubs with when he was a young man he had a lot of stories to tell about his teen years Not going to school out late listening to different Jazz and Blues singers he loved to sing like father like daughter!! R.I.P Daddy... Thanks to youtube I got a chance to hear this amazing artist for the first time!!!

This is one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite singers -- I remember being frustrated years ago because I couldn't find any of her recordings on CD (my turntable wasn't working very well) and my LP's were very old (so am I) ... suddenly one night on the Cosby show it was being played (Cosby always played great music) -- I cried for joy because I knew I would able to find now. Anything played on Cosby always became available in stores.

thought forever that stevie wonder did this song in his early years when he was called lil stevie wonder but proved wrong cause the voice sounds like his.

My big sister said that when she'd perform this at Robert's Show Lounge in Chicago, that she would just walk throught he audience and wail. Go girl. Nobody and I mean nobody could have delivered this song like her. How long have we loved it? I won't count my years ; ) but certainly all our lives. Thanks!

Great music.. What passes for music today is mainly just a "noise"". I dont buy it or even turn the radio on anymore. Thank God for youtube and the opportunity to hear the " good ole stuff" once again.

One of those slick 1950's "ballads" that made it into one of the many "frisky" scenes of "The Cosby Show" in the mid-1980's - Claire lip-synching this beauty all the way. ;)

@toledorecordman Yep - just found which episode this one (in it's entirety) appeared on, too - season 2 (1985-1986), where Stevie Wonder's limo crashes into Denise & Theo in Denise's car.

The family just got through listening to the studio tape Stevie made for the family. Claire & Cliff are down there alone, Cliff wants to go to bed, gives Claire a kiss, then walks up the stairs. Claire says, "I don't know what to say, but I DO know what to PLAY", then throws this on (from an LP ;) ).
