Oh... what an experience it must have been, oh goodness now I feel I like Lew even more - not because of what he says or does here, but just because he's so quiet and shy here. It makes me appreciate even more what he was capable of doing in front of the film-camera. And for me - unless I'm very VERY badly mistaken - there is a real sense of love in that studio, true warmth... shy maybe and quiet, but true. Wonderful.
This is really lovely, ILWB. Thank you so very much for posting!
@finnhere2 It's wonderful to see the real Lew, don't you think? Oh, and babe, you know when you asked about scars? You didn't mean the lipstick mark, did you?!
@finnhere2 Hope you didn't check out Freddy Starr, Finn, he's a bit of a nutter! I'm sure the marks are lipstick, just wish it was me who had put them there, sigh.....
Wondered about those marks, probably it's lipstick then although doesn't look reddish in any way on my screen :-)
Yes it's really wonderful to see Lew as he is/was, heartwarming! Had to check out a couple of those British celebrities as they were totally unknown to me, so got a bit more civilized maybe too :)
Thanks again ILWB! I'm in love with just one of them, and that one made a lovely appearance here; in the horrible chequered Victorian overcoat, with the obvious 20th century watch, and the obvious 20th century susceptability for the cold wind on the moors ;-) I still think MS is the star of this show.
No offence meant, it's just that I think that Martin is the greator actor, and also the greator person...
But then again, that might just be me and my silly crush....LOL
I love both of them dearly, but I don't think you can say on Lewis Collins This Is Your Life prgoramme that Martin Shaw is the star of the show, no matter how cute he is!!
hahah cool with Gordon Jackon's entrance....... happy days...:)

You're absolutely right ofcourse... Just goes to show how much my sense of reality is blurred when I see MS ;-)

Thanks again. I got hold of an interview that Lew gave today when Jack The Ripper was screened in '88. Yet to read it. :)
