Try this: w/Dual Wield in Freelancer - Quick/Dance/Dance, equip Sword Dance boosting stuff, and Sword Dance will deal over 9000 without your lances. Duh.

My own strategy: Bartz with harp that's strong against dragons(too bad, harps doesn't work with Rapid Fire). Two Mimes with Time and Black mages. And one Time/White mime. Tasks: Bartz - Just attack Faris - Quick, spam Flare Kirle - Same as upper Leena - Quick, Curaga And sometimes use Meteor. I used this strategy(created by me) because i didn't have Dragon Lances.

I remember fighting him dozens if not hundreds of times trying to kill him with rapid fire. When I did beat him the fight lasted ten or fifteen minutes 5 stars!

Nice fight man, I love these type of challenges although I find that FF6 can get to easy because of an over powered party so I created my own bosses which are quite formadable.

Honestly, I have no idea on what recommended level you're supposed to fight him. But most likely in order to put up a good fight against him you will likely need some skills and some items, not the level. I saw someone here on youtube fight him at level 30ish.

Dude. What realy sucked s that i had to beat gilgamesh for the second time, I had a Levle 20 team, no tents(Couldent heal to train), and theye only had like.. 5 abilities.I had to completely re start, im trining now, curretly at the third crystal(Fire crystal) but i haent beaten liquid flame yet. I' training up all my charecters befor that.

I never understood the other side of a certain argument I keep emphasizing. I think you should beat Neo Shinryu first so the Omega Mk.II battle will be easier (I'd always had a hard time with him), but everyone else keeps saying that you should get the Force Shield first so Neo Shinryu will be easier. Ah, well, your way seems to work anyway. Kudos, my friend. 5 stars.
