  • Cynthia Myers. She passed away at the age of 61 on November 4, 2011. She died of lung cancer [no jokes, please]. She was a lovely friendly and very beautiful woman inside and out; She will be missed.

  • Mulholland Drive got a lot of inspiration from this film, not the same plot, but theres something about both films...Decadence, Sexuality, Fame,Perversion

  • This movie is Gggggrrrrreeeeeaaaatttt!!

  • This movie is greeeeeeatttt !!! Love the title.!!

  • does any 1 have the tune "toy boy" by strawberry alarm clock. if so please upload, i can't find it in any shops or websites

  • It looks like a large turd.

  • great movie and the women have great tits too bad they dont make movies like this any more russ meyer is the man

  • Horny sheilas, ultrviolence, chicks with dicks this film has it all!

  • Cynthia Meyers defies gravity...

  • this is a classic, thank god for Russ Meyer !!!

  • "240 pounds of creative energy", LOL

  • " 'Beyond the Valley of The Dolls' has all the elements: drama, love, mystery, music. But the most important element is..." ..the tits. It's Russ Meyer, people. It's the tits.

  • @turingcub Oh, God, I thought precisely the same thing. Great minds ...

  • Fantastic trailer for one of the greatest films ever

  • there has never been ANYTHING like it

  • GOD I wish I was part of this generation instead of my own.

  • What's the name of the guy who narrates this trailer? It seems like he did every trailer in the 70s.

  • Is this the first film to actually make fun of porn flix?

  • This is actually one of the most entertaining movies I've seen.

  • When women were WOMEN

  • @D0NRICKLES LOL what are women today? And please don't say boyish sticks as though Hollywood actually represents a majority of women.

  • Beautiful People, one of the most campy films of all time. It was not made to be campy, but it ranks very high, just as Valley of the Dolls---------Both very campy

  • "240 pounds of creative energy."

  • What the hell was that >?!?!?!

  • I have to admit, that being able to see every Russ Meyer film, I have to agree with Russ when he says that this film REALLY does lack the Meyer taste. Don't get me wrong it is a great film!

  • I think it was Edie Williams her hair was pulled back

  • I have very similar eyes to Cynthia Meyers and she inspired me with my hair and make up.

    An iconic film.

  • @tabitha501 Well you must have a lot of guys go after you!

  • extra feature on disc 2 of dvd set of "Dolls"

  • the movie was prety good, i liked the girls the best especially Marcia Mcbroom

  • get the dvd it's well worth it a great dvd for a over the top screen gem!

  • Russ Meyer was a genius!

  • Probably the most fun to be had in a film in the history of Cinema...

  • Dolly Read is too beautiful

  • is this the 1 sharon tate's in?

  • no, that's Valley of the Dolls

  • Is this on DVD now? I remember this movie, I was not allowed to go see it, or be in the room while it was being discussed, or in a room with someone reading the book, ha ha, a bible town, I was a child back then, & now that things are available, well I'd love to delve back into the past & know what the 'adults' back then were really doing. I am going to find this movie & order it right away!

  • One of the greatest movies ever!

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!

  • Thanks! It's my favourite film!

  • Roger Ebert wrote this.

  • @chaoticjesus which is why its shit

  • Almost puke near the end.

  • I think the point is - this film is fantastic, visual and musical feast/trip. The moral preaching is meant to be totally tongue in cheek, and is a throwback to Meyer's voice of god documentary making days. I just imagine Russ Meyer and Roger Edgbert crying tears of laughter into the typewriter when they came up with this!!

  • I think you missed the point.

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!! This trailer was the inspiration for the ending scene in the only play I ever wrote. All of a sudden in the last scene, there's this announcer and my female lead turns to her friend and says "Who is that talking?!" and he replies "Oh, that's the groovy, 1970's 20th Century Fox Trailer Voice Over Guy." "Well, could you tell him to stop! It's distracting!" LOL :)

  • Actually, it is like everything Russ Meyer had done before and after "Beyond..." All of his films use sex, campy gore and violence, and also, sex!

  • Looking for interpretes/titles from this clip, anyone ?

  • I was too young to see this film when this film came out in 1970, so I had to settle for the feature in Playboy magazine that summer. The pictures were magnificent! I finally saw this film in 1998. It was very good. But I did not see Pam Grier(Her first film) or the beautiful Gina Dair, both of whom were in the Playboy issue. Maybe there is a special uncut version. Getting back to 1970, all of the boys in my summer camp were pleased to see Cynthia Myers. I was very pleased!

  • Clearly a bizarre film, but it unquestionably succeeds where "The Crying Game" failed.

  • A 60's music montage. LOVE IT!!!

  • I notice in the video that Cynthia Meyers and Lance Rocke are making out while they are dancing. Since those two characters had no such relationship in the film, is it safe to assume the two were hooking up during the filming? If so, the guy that played Lance is one extremely lucky cat.

  • Yes, they had an affair

  • In fact, I think they were briefly married.

I always thought it was a travesty that, in Cynthia Myers, Russ Meyer had an opportunity to film at length one of the most awe-inspiring torsos of the late twentieth century, yet he barely shot Cynthia in the nude in "Beyond..." Oh, well. At least Playboy's December 1968 centerfold remains to remind us of what Russ failed to capture in extended motion. Aphrodite, thy name is Cynthia!

  • the black girls hot! all of them hot!

  • My all time favorite film!! This movie is absolute genious!

  • what I see is beyond your dreaming

  • Come on people this film is inspired! Don't be so uptight man.

It is clumsy, awkward sexy, gregarious, disgusting and F%#king fun. Look at the fast edits and hilarious one liners in the party scene. The confused kitsch messages; Rape fantasy thrill (men & women) vs Redemption story. High Art!!!

  • Did you see the scene at the end where the girl makes the crippled guy with the cane-braces walk cross a river on a thin log?

  • Must say Cynthia Myers is so smoking hot in this trailer alone especially when she winked her eye. I wish those glamour photos of her shot by Meyers was available.

  • Originally given an x rating (which really had nothing to do with the implied sex. If you have seen it, you know why), it was later given an r rating. Nevertheless, a stupid movie which has garnered a cult following of sorts. Dolly Read's career went nowhere, and neither did anyone elses in the project. Williams somewhat survived it and is still out and about dressing and acting as if she is 45 years younger. Some of the pics I've seen of her as of late, gee lady, get a life!

  • Roger Ebert who wrote does have something of a career.

And Charles Napier went onto many mainstream roles including RAMBO and AUSTIN POWERS.

  • It seems that only Harrison Page and Charles Napier who is still rolling strong in Hollywood. Yes you are right, Edy Williams is still running around thinking she is 25 while she looks like a crackling oil painting. The only gal that still looks hot is Cynthia Myers who is in her mid 50's

  • "..and neither did anyone elses in the project."

What about Roger Ebert? He did alright.

  • This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Even now, nearly 20 years (and 20 times) since I first saw the movie, I am still mezmorised by every song and every nuance.

  • The soul sister??? LOL!!!

  • this is the most confusing movie ever. dont watch it.

  • I think the worst thing about 2005, was the "half!" dresses modeled after this movie, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.

The dresses were supposed to be full dresses, ladies, and I appologize for any strange looks, or bad looks I may have given you all for only wearing half of one. You obviously didn't see this movie.

    Michael Lyon Alvarez

  • This movie was a total trip. I just watched the behind the scenes clips for "The Valley of the Dolls", thinking that movie was the same as this one. I was in for a shock. I didn't recognize ANY of the people in that movie. "Return to the Valley of the Dolls" was the movie I origanally saw a while back. It's a freakshow for sure...

  • One of the best films ever :)

  • The movie was written by Roger Ebert, the film critic of 'Siskel and Ebert' fame...scary...

  • incredible where did you get this?

I've never seen that before. Have you the cut scene from the film?

  • It's from the dvd

  • Because this movie is such a turd, I have watched it a dozen times with new people. Forcing them to endure it all the way through.

This movie did big box office, by the way.

  • "240lbs of creative energy"

  • LOL "This is not a sequel." No kidding.

  • Great Great, Stuff !! Love this behind the scenes trailer, especially the entire cast together. They all look like they were having fun.
