I believe this show was done in the Peach Tree Plaza Hotel Ballroom as one of the early WTCG late TBS TNN etc and the news was really done in the basement storage room!!!
some of JB's best music was from the mid-seventies......not really his well known period. This is a great track, has some disco vibe, also check out the album "Hell" and the long "Rapp Payback", one of his last great tracks
13berza: Just ta break it down to ya...Everything he did was straight disco, I don't suppose you get my meaning. But to be more literal he invented the disco sound, the rap sound, he was IT. The man. He was at his best in the 70's.
Buckeyecat2002: Great call! It looked like JB was kinda going through a middle-age crisis during this time of his life; he was looking kinda crackish here, instead of his normal elegant self. Hell, I think I even spotted Goldie and Dolemite in the background...
mike and every lil black boy growing up in the sixties james brown was god in those days. i think more little boys admired him that girls. you werent cool if you couldnt do the james brown (hucklebukk). i remember from 64 or 65 onward watching him on the tube dancing along with him and trying to get those feet moves down. luckily like mike my folks are from the south (my father knew brown when he baled cotton to supplement his gigs) there were plenty old folks who knew how to hucklebukk too.
I remember this show james use to get down on this show..... fast foot work I hope ted turner bring out a official Future shock DVD. JAMES BROWN The greatest entertainer in the world.
Its godfather of funk more like. His hits were funky.

Love the godfather's style, but here he looks a little like the sketch of the Unabomber at the beginning. ;)
