Shows great, but the Ipad can't be used as an aviation tool. Two reason out of many, it doesn't have real GPS, you have to use an external bluetooth GPS, and that is prohibited in aircraft by the FAA. Second reason is, all the apps for it are internet dependent, you also can't us Wifi or 3-4G in an aircraft, it is also prohibited. No transmitting devices are allowed in aircraft, only a real GPS is, because it is a receiving device. Have a great day!
@vfrpad Do more rsearch. ur worng about almost everything you said.... actually, ipad was approved by the faa to be used by american airlines and more will join.. do ur research.. gps works perfect on mine, and it is internal
This woman with those made up faces is extremely irritating ! Can you tone it down a little bit..?. The information about the capability of the IPad in aviation ( I am a commercial pilot) is ok! Sarah, you can get my attention if you give me the information without the "show". Please drop the faces thing.
This show would be a world better, as would Tech Today, if the hosts would all stop trying to be so clever. The best TWIT shows are the ones that are "down to earth" and "real." I don't intend to be mean with this post - just sharing my honest opinion....

Perhaps they need to design automobiles to recognize devices, and limit access to only applications that would aid in driving, or audio.
