  • Moose is the best I think he gave you shade a bit more tanned, toned and not onerous, and I liked ... also important for me to tell you I looked on YouTube Stones show just what he looked like and how to spread it but could not find and you got the answer now. .. I'm really going to buy it

  • please do the silicone vs. water based video soon. i want to buy some airbrush makeup (for use with brushes first, before committing to an airbrush system) and want some comparisons, there are none really on youtube. can either go into any kind of gun? what is best brush for them? thanks!

  • i was wondering about the brushes you were using. Where can you get them and how are they? I didnt see a review video on them. please let me know. thanks

  • Love this video but yet I haven't found the right product for my skin yet. So far I'm using MAC but i will keep looking :)

  • wait so whats the difference between a liquid foundation and a tinted moisturizer?

  • what can you recommend for someone with combination skin?

  • Can we buy and use any kind of brush? Because I bought cheap ones from Forever 21

  • which type of foundation looks the most natural?

  • I have a question! I have eczema on my face, and so I also have really dry skin too :( I don't wear makeup every day, mostly because I can't, but for the nights I got out I'd like to wear at least foundation to make my skin look even (and now red and blotchy)! Any advice?? :(

  • Have you tried pur minerals? I love it!

  • OH HER SKIN... I want that skin what her routine on cleansing her face :O

  • It's hard to see whether or not the foundations are covering much because you look a little washed out because of the lighting and background :-/

  • what scar?

  • nice

  • Uhm, why am I watching this? :p

  • oh wow. haven't watched your videoes for a long time. where's that typical pursebuzz intro?!

  • Great Topic !!! ..my favorites change a lot usually according to season or mood. Current Autumn favorites: 1.) oldy but goody cream foundation, Victoria Jackson light palette which is 2 shades to blend for perfect match, ..& the deep palette for contouring 2.) Hybrid of Colorstay by Revlon mixed with Photo Ready ..Summer favs are various mineral powders & L'Oreal's true match (divine over bronzer for a J-Lo look) **Victoria Jackson's new line is LOLA but haven't compared to original yet

  • this was very helpful, thank you! I didn't know there were so many diff types...I think i might want to try the cream foundation based on what u mentioned!

  • I have very blotchy skin that always seems to melt off foundation. I have been using Estee Lauder Equalizer foundation for three years and I love it!! Very happy customer. :D

  • i love mousse foundation it blends like a dream

  • I use liquid, full coverage, matte foundation, but I actually prefer and would use powder if I didn't need a lot of coverage.

  • Your skin is beautiful even before you put the foundations on

  • My favourites are a mousse foundation from the uk brand no7 and I have recently started using the max factor maxfinity powder foundation which i loveee but runs out quickly :( I just cant get on with liquid foundations.

  • Thank you for the very informative video! It was very helpful. I'm working on finding ways to better my foundation routine or find one that's more compatible with my skin type. =)

  • I love mineral foundations and tinted moisturizers.

  • I love cream foundations. I have combo skin and it disappears on my face and doesn't oxidize as fast. So far Kett is my fav (I'm a W45 or C50). Also I'll use Stila the concealor and primer in one in the lip gloss tube. That stuff is the business.

  • You look Way prettier in this video than the ones with lots of make-up!

  • I use liquid faoundation and i set it with pressed powder.

  • @Whippoful

Same here! Or sometimes I use an HD powder or a complexion finish powder to matify the liquid foundation and to control the liquid foundation as it seems to get more oily later in the day.

  • Hmm, I would really like to try the cream, since I have so much redness and scarring, but I worry about my super oily skin. :(

  • I'm interested in the Maybelline SuperStay 24hour Foundation.

  • I have combination dehydrated skin. Would mineral makeup come off as a powder foundation and make my dry patches visible or appear Cakey?

  • I like Vichy Dermablend because the coverage is good and a little goes a long way. I have tons of acne and acne scarring and I have to use liquid because nothing else seems to cover as well.

  • very informative! good job!

  • I like Elf Studio Tinted Moisturizer and Garnier Dark Circle Concealer Roller...<3

  • If you ever decide to try this one out, can you please do a review on the Maybelline New York Dream Liquid mousse foundation, plz plz plz?

  • What a pretty full name ! Elessa Jade.<3

  • the lighting is too bright. can't really see the effect of the foundation

  • hey where did you get your bracelet from?

  • ant ideas of a drugstore product the covers redness very well???

    please help!!

  • I like to use liquid foundation for parties nd night stuff!;) but for everyday i use mineral!:) i really wanna try the loreal mousse?

  • Elessa, i want your skin!! *-*

When i use my foundation, i use it in a correct way, but friends of mine, tell me that it looks like i put lots and lots of make up in my face.

The point is that, i don't know how to make my foundation to look NATURAL.

I use "REVLON Color Stay for Dry Skin", "REVLON PhotoReady Concealer" and "RIMMEL Silky loose powder".

Hugs and Kisses from Argentina. <3 !!!!!!

  • Wow your skin looks AMAZING <3 please make a video on your skin routine/tips :)

  • So far the pink skin 79 bb cream that comes in one shade which adjusts to ur skin tone...

  • What is the best BB Cream that you guys have ever used?

  • @puppyluver907 Missha is my favourite brand, I have super sensitive combination skin and I find that brand has the best products I actually feel the newest BB I bought from them helps moisturise. After I wash it off at night my skin feels soft like a baby I always want to keep touching my cheeks! They have a lot of options & are cheap so yeah..I love them :)

  • what's the difference between the lancome base and a primer?

  • Skin routine! Your skin is so pretty and clear <3

  • Can you do a top bb creams video?

  • what brushes are you using

  • @Breathlless I am currently reviewing them. I'll let you know when I am done :)

  • @pursebuzz oooh please do a brush review that would be SO helpful! xxx

  • @pursebuzz Hi Elessa, just wondering, have you done reviewing the brushes? I'm really curious about those brushes :)

  • Can you do another video featuring drugstore foundations for those of us who can't really afford the high end products? Please :)

  • What is your foundation shade in mac?

  • i can never find any that matches my skin tone

  • i love applying liquid then powder foundation wanna try airbrush mk with a brush

  • Wouldn't powder foundation make the face cakey or very powdery?

  • Im currently using my Misha perfect cover BB cream. Id prefer the Etude House one tough for the colder weather so might switch soon.

  • You have such natural beauty with out all that make up :-)

  • For mousse foundation, if you have combination or oily skin. I totally recommend boots no.7 at Target. Only prob. They have shades from light to mediumish.. little goes a long way. ;p

  • I love tinted moisturizer and wore Laura Mercier's until very recently when I realized it contains ingredients I react to and that it's probably responsible for all the sensitivity issues I've had.

It is a great product that I'd still recommend since very few people react to these ingredients. But I'll be going on a quest for a natural tinted moisturizer with a bit sheerer coverage than LM...

  • I went to Nordstrom and Sephora to go on a Foundation hunt and I brought home 13 samples. My favorite was Laura Mercier...love love love. The oil free and the Satin both.

  • i like the liquid foundations, but now I'm interested in trying the airbrush one. Can you just use a make up brush instead of an airbrush gun?

  • @gilmore2012 Yea that's what she did in this video. The bottle she squirted it out of is the airbrush makeup, normally you would put that into a well in the gun but she just put it on like any other liquid foundation :)

  • what brushes are you using please? x

  • Yay!!! Thanks so much :)

  • What would you reccommend for hiding larger scars? I was in an accident 6 months ago and needed to have stiches on my cheek and nose. While the scars aren't red anymore they are still very visible. The problem isn't so much finding makeup that covers the redness. I'm looking for makeup which can conceal that the surface and the shape/edges of the scartissue isn't smooth (hopefully someday it will be). This is why makeup mostly just collects in or around the scars after a few hours.

  • @luckystrike82

Cover FX definitely. Their products were made for this; covering scars of various kinds. Have a look at their products. I use their foundation compact as a concealer on the scar on my cheek and it is a godsend!!

  • When is Garnier's BB Cream releasing in America?

  • Great video.Thank you! I love my BRTC BB cream!

  • wish u would have put it on so we can see the different finishes istead of everything mixed together

  • seriously, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • looooove this video!!!!!

  • i would like if you could zoom in next time, i can't see the effects at all :(

  • Can you do a foundation video on a darker skinned model?.. That would give me more idea!

  • My favourite type of foundation is liquid, but somehow mineral foundation sits best on my skin. I have dry skin.

  • the laura mercier tinted moisturizer is awesome! takes away redness and dark spots and evens out my skintone. it wont cover up dark circles but its all good (:

  • i think u shud have zoomed in so we cud actually see what they look like lol

  • Loved this, thanks!

  • Hello how r u? I am interested in trying a bb cream, but I don't think there is one for African-American skin. I also want to try airbrush makeup w/o the system and powder foundation. I like liquid n cream foundation and I like adding a little more foundation to tinted moisturization. Thanks!!! So much for da video, I needed that. XOXO

  • One thing. When you were talking about the powder foundation, you mentioned using it with water. May I please note to NEVER use crane water directly with your make up products! Crane water actually contains a lot of bacteria, they won't harm you wen you drink it, but they will spoil your product. If you must use water with a product you beter use filtered water.

  • @WatchYourAttitude i mean thats kinda what you wash your face with

  • @kitschmas17 It doesn't harm you when you was your face, but if you add water to a product it will spoil it. If you mix face wash with water in your hands it won't do no harm but if you mix it in the bottle it will spoil the product. Same with blush for example. You should not add water to the blush in the pan. It will spoil it in time.

  • Aersol foundation??

  • Do any of you guys like the Mac BBcream??? please like so oeveryone could seeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Missha M Perfect bb cream ftw! I like that it has sunscreen built in as well as other healing properties, and it covers my freckles really well. It is also one of the very few bb creams that has a wider color range for us tanner folks! #27 is good for those in the NC30-35 range

  • My skin does alot bettet when I don't use any foundation. Foundation only makes acne much worse: go natural and don't wear foundation.

  • I have oily skin, can you make a mask that helps??

  • Thanks for the video! I prefer the liquid foundation. I am really interested in the Eve Pearl Powder Foundation. Thanks for showing how to use the airbush foundation without the gun!

  • I dont get why people without any flaws or blemishes use foundation... I just cover up my acne

  • I would love to see a video where you talk about brands which offer pink or/and yellow toned foundations.. I feel like that most brands have pink ones.

  • @MsBill4bong Lorac foundation and powder has very yellow tones! i got mine from sephora :]

  • @LoveandDezi can't really get my hands on Lorac :-/ I'm from Austria

  • mineral!!

  • anyone ever tried the Garnier BBcream? does it give any coverage?

  • @GreenStreetHooligan5 I love it for summer, but I don't really have that much to coverage, I just need something to even out my skin tone, which I think it does perfectly :-)

  • @GreenStreetHooligan5 i've tried it! It doesnt really give much coverage - its more brightening than covering! Its fine for me though, because my skin is pretty good so anything i need to cover, i cover with concealer :) this is my skin though, so it might be different for you:)

  • @GreenStreetHooligan5 i signed up for the sample.. its like a tinted moisturizer.. not much coverage but it evens out the skin tone.. i really like it since I'm not into heavy coverage :)

  • @GreenStreetHooligan5 Wow I did'nt even know they had one!

  • @GreenStreetHooligan5 It does to me, but it leaves the skin extra shiny, so you will probably have to apply powder to set it, unless you are interested in glowing like a traffic light. My mom has larger pores and it won't give her good coverage...

  • @GreenStreetHooligan5 I have! Its sort of between a foundation and a tinted moisturizer, so it gives a nice light coverage. I really like it but it leaves your skin looking really shiny, so you have to set it with powder!

  • @GreenStreetHooligan5 It's okay, it's definitely not as good as a lot of the Korean brands I use, I think they just need to keep testing. It doesn't cover as much as others but it's a good LIGHT (very light, hardly noticeable) cover if you need something when you're too lazy and going grocery shopping etc. I'm super white and it was too dark for me it never oxidised to match my skin like other BB.

  • @GreenStreetHooligan5 If you have oily skin it needs to be set with a powder. The coverage is alright, it's good for everyday or when you want to be casual, I wouldn't wear it on a night out.

  • Is pancake make up still made? That was the best for acne prone skin. Thanks E

  • I really can't see the coverage you show in the video because of the light. I don't know what you did with it but I noticed it already in your last video. So not only you look like a ghost, we can't see the colors properly at all :( Sorry, but I just had to say something...

  • Can u recomend a serum for flakiness around sides of mouth and have hormonal outbrakes...primer too:) ty!

  • what would you recommend for a good beginner's foundation?? :DD

  • What's a good drugstore/affordable mineral foundation to recommend for oily skin? Your opinion means so much to me, Elessa! Much love from Nebraska!

  • Mineral foundation is my favorite.. bare minerals! Love it

  • I want to try cream but some said its hard to blend. Is it true ? I think I'll try the Dior cream foundation

  • Where did u get that pink brush u used for the mineral makeup. It looks so soft and fluffy!! I like it cuz its pink. Pls give me the name and the website. Thanks.

  • Thanks so much for making this video! Great info. I currently use a long-lasting liquid foundation by Almay, called TLC (truly lasting color) and I love it! I've tried a few different foundations like the Dream Mousse foundation by Maybelline, I also tried a cream foundation and liked it alot, tried a few mineral foundations as well. So far, I like the one I"m currently using best:)

  • sephora porcelain clair light 05... i love it, the only one that has worked for me so far... it's very very light haha.

  • its kind of ridiculous the amount of makeup you use... serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer gosh its too much!

  • i have a redish skin, so i apply radiance green cream thing and then i conceal some spots i think i should, after that i put on my highlighter on the cheeks and lastly a little bit of powder all over!

  • I am using bb cream (skin 79) since a year and it's really awesome. You don't need any pouder or concealer after.

  • i have dry skin and this is what i do: works for me but im open to any other suggestions

    1. moisturise

    2. mix revlon liquid foundation with primer and more moisturiser

    3. use fingers to apply

i love the dewy glowy look so powder is a no no

  • liquid foundation makes me break out for some reason so i use tinted moisturizer or pressed foundation.

  • too bad it doesnt taste as good... what have you been doing pursebuzz?? have you been eating foundation again?!! :P xx

  • no offence but nothing you put on your face makes a difference, because your skin is friekin gorgeous anyway xx

  • omg i rly rly wanna try an airbrush gun, but i dont know where to get one from :(

  • woooooooah, attention oily people - AVOID wet sponges!! unless you want to look like you've dipped your face in a chip fryer :/ but for those with dry skin - go for it :D

  • i have semi-oily skin but i've always loved matte. what would you reccommend for my skin (my t-zone is oily, especially my nose, but the rest of my face is normal)

  • WOO! GO MINERAL MAKE-UP :D

  • i was told that you only need to use serum for more mature skin, not for teens e.t.c. (do you think that's true? :) ) xx

  • I've been using a Catrice one, you have to try it. If you can get your hands on it, I'd say you should buy it, it's way cheap and I love it! It's a creamy soft texture, comes in a pump container! Mine is called Infinite Matt; it's a long lasting, oil free, matt finish and hydrating foundation. :) xoxo

  • great, informative video!

  • I use liquid (Rimmel or True Match or Clinique Even Better) mostly but love my CoverFX and want to try Eve Pearl's powder foundation.

  • ah, your skin looks flawless even withoutmakeup :((((( i'm so jealous. I've been eating really healthy for the past 3 months but university stresses me out way too much so my skin isn't very nice lol. anyway, i just wanted to say i always love wathinc gyour vids! They truly are very helpful withlittle to no bias at all! For some reason, I'm reminded by your old vids where you still had bangs and your hair was brownish/blonde!~

  • Very informative video,....what kind of foundation is great for the dry skin?

  • the liquid foundation pure aqua from Guerlain is great if your skin used to have acne or other problems, it helps to restore the health of your skin, on me it works really well, plus you can totally built up the coverage from sheer to full

  • Really want to try the Leole (sp) BB cream at the moment. I use a liquid set with a powder foundation, but first I put on something to keep the oil at bay, a special mix of minerals, that plus the liquid and powder keeps me MATTE as all get out all day, no grease balls here !

  • GREAT VIDEOS.... could you talk about primers as well I always get confuse how to match my makeup primer (with silicon o water based) and my liquid foundation...how to know if I am using the right primer with my foundation?? I hope you understand what I mean...

  • Can anybody recommend an airbrush foundation suitable for oily skin that I can use without an airbrush ?

  • My routine probably varies a fair bit. I have really bad scarring - so full coverage is important. I still haven't mastered covering it completely. I tend to use concealer an a powder foundation - sometimes a liquid foundation under it. Could you do a tutorial with the Cover FX foundation? It would be a big investment for me, but I am quite interested in it.

  • i think mousse is for oily skin.. .. it reli worked on me coz i had a very oily skin..

  • I like what ever covers the dark patches on my checks. Right now im enjoying mac longwear concealer and mineralized powder. What else do u think is a good light foundation that's full coverage?

  • mousse and liquid.. but im beggining to loving d minerals lately..

  • i use loreal true match liquid foundation and their true match powder also..i dont use primer and it last all day for me still. right now my face can get a tad bit dry so when i put my makeup in some spots looks a bit dry and flakey anyone know what i can do so it doesn look that way

  • wow u skin looks soooooo flawless

  • I have used Mac Studio Fix in N3 for over eight years and I'm obsessed with it! I have tried numerous products and nothing works like it! It has amazing coverage for my terrible acne and scarring, and it helps control my very oily skin!!! I just wish it came in more variety of colors.

  • ya so pretty without makeup

  • arbutain?

now i am wondering if my skins ugly and uneven (i dont wear any foundation like ever) ;(

  • I love sheer cover!!!!

  • what brushes are you using?

  • i use sheer cover and its amazing!

  • Yay, I was a part of this poll lol. I really love and respect the fact that you can go on camera with minimal to no makeup on :) . I am looking into getting a airbrush compressor (hopefully a set) what one is your favorite. I was looking into the OCC and it seems good I think. Thanks for the video, I always smile when I see one of your videos in my sub box :) <3

  • Do you have a recent skin care routine video?? Ur skin looks amazinggg

  • I really love how you make a lot of your videos with little makeup on =)

  • grease ball lol

  • Who dare dislike this video? I am outraged!! ;D

  • can you set up so that your in the center of the screen not the side? this vid is so helpful btw:)

  • This is wonderful... Alot of helpful information!! Thank you so much! :)

  • My fav is airbrush foundation also love love it

  • @madfayce I've heard that cleanser with salicylic acid in it will clean out blackheads from pores.

  • WEAR ARE YOUR BRUSHES FROM???

  • what is a good affordable silicone free primer?

  • i am interested in trying the makeup forever mat velvet foundation

  • Oh and to people who want to try BB Creams. DO NOT try the US versions. They suck soooo bad compared to original Asian brand BB Creams!

  • I am a bit conflicted about what type of foundation to use for the winter...I have combination/oily skin and I know it's better to use powder foundation in the summer...but what about the winter? Should I use a matte liquid or powder foundation??

  • I think you left out a few important things. Cream foundations are also versatile like liquid foundations. You can easily get a sheer to medium coverage with a damp sponge and a full coverage with a brush or your fingers even. Cream is also a lot more water resistant and do have different finishes too. Also, I think people who have blemishes should apply a thin layer of foundation first before spot concealing with a small brush where it's needed or else it'd look too fake and made up.

  • Mac has a BB cream? Wow! I definitely want to try that!
