While I feel that his words are true in some way, I think that he's only talking about the people living in the western world. Because the majority of humanity does not live such peaceful lives and it's important to focus on the bodyparts that hurt. They hurt because somethings not right and the pain is there for us to recognize. I would say one should be sensitive for pain or the suffering of others, but at the same time be aware of the beauty of life too and make it your motivator.

I dont think he is suggesting not taking action on the negative things that actually do manifest; he is saying dont fill your mind more with that than the good--then you take energy away from creating and enforcing the negative energies that MIGHT manifest.

Thank you for posting this. I worked in the news and taught for a short time but I could not get over the fact that what we see on the news doesn't represent truth. We are training people to pay attention to what doesn't matter and avoid the things that really do matter. If it bleeds it leads. If a sponsor is paying for a commercial there location will be used in a news clip sometime.

I believe you are misinterpreting the quote... A personal reality is an illusion because no single individual can have a completely objective point of view, therefore their "reality" isn't actually reality, it's a self imposed illusion... but its important not to take too much stalk in one persons point of view, as even great people can be fallable...
