  • nerds made the steampunk world. we inhabit that world. we control and enjoy that world. we welcome any1 to our world. this is the our world, we are just letting you live in it

  • Awesome!

  • wicked!!!

  • sounds like a song that could be used in a steampunk film (the very beggining) really nice music i like the gothic feel and the big clangs in bg

  • Great video.

    What might have been, eh?

    The Victorians knew their shit.

    ~ A rotting victorian.

  • This is epic... Wonderful!

    Greetings,

    Rick.

  • me encanta esta banda

  • This reminds me of Sloss' Furnace in Birmingham

  • I like how the music and video are so refreshing in a world where a lot of music, even when it's different genres, sound so alike.

  • haha I dont care bout stereo types or anything of the such I just think steampunk is fun to say and the genre happened to fall into the ones that I like and it is an entertaining fashion to me lol

  • This video is like porn. I mean that in the very best way. On the inevitable day that I'm lowered into molten steel I hope that this music is playing. :-)

  • There is a new version of this song and video going up today! Check it out!

  • if it wasn't for nerds, there would be no steampunk. nerds came up with the ideas for it that are staples today. So if you're in it for fashion, be sure to thank the nerds around you that watched Laputa daily and read Jules Verne as kids.

  • Yeah, but there are two totally different levels of nerd we are talking about here. There are nerds like my self who enjoy a wide variety of media very much. And then there are nerds who completely obsess over something, and try to turn it into a lifestyle. Which is just totally unappealing to me. If I want that, I'll go be a Furry or a Vampire LARPer.

  • There are also nerds who enjoy a wide variety of media and still indulge in such things as vampire larps or even furrydom. That doesn't mean we're all some kind of pasty, awkward and/or freakishly perverted shut-in. Watch your stereotypes, sir, lest you alienate potential fans.

That said, good song. Perhaps a mite repetitive.

  • Heyyyyy, none of the Vampire LARPers I know(including myself) obsess over it. C'mon. Some of the first nice steampunk I saw were from LARPers who put a lot of detail into their outfits.

  • Yeah alot of LAPRers are people who just do it as a hobby... I do LAPR's and i like an extreamly wide range of media... I've LAPRed everythign from orcs and mages to steampunk and cybergoth... i find it fun to be different and show different sides that most people dont find "fitting" in normal society... so dont go baggin on the LAPRers cuz that cud b a very big fan area u dont wanna push away...

good song though i like it

  • I couldn't agree more. Although to be fair, must subgenres are flooded with Nerds. There is a difference between a nerd and a fanatic though. I wouldn't mind if I never saw another pair of goggles though =P

  • I think really its the "Rayguns" that scream NERD. I mean seriously... A raygun? How is a raygun cooler than a magnum? Hehe, Revolvers are so steam punk lolz....

  • Yeah I never understood that either. The main character in the Steampunk video game I've been working on for years has a revolving rocket hand gun for one of his main weapons. Rayguns seem so Buck Rogers, which is way more Pulp than Steampunk.

  • That sounds cool, especially if you embellished it... Maybe it shoots out chinese firework kinda things. Or maybe like... Chemical bombs? Idk, sounds cool. Hey would you like some help?

  • steampunk rulz!!!!!!!!

  • Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by brass, cogs, gears and the like. I have even taken up wearing "steampunk" style goggles while I work in the laboratory. I didn't realise it was growing into a popular movement.. and then I find this little gem on the internet! Great music, really suits the genre. Infact I think this has made my evening! Thank you for taking the time to create this, you will do well!

  • Ah, do check out

    Brass Goggles

    blog, will you?

  • i like this!! *)

  • ooo i like it, kind of the darker side of steampunk

Now, there can only be one of you floating around the net. Congrats on being made Mod of the Audiovisual thread over at TSF.

    Good video, too.

  • Hi, and thanks. Glad you found the videos. =)

I'm planning on doing more, but I need to finish my new music first.

  • Thats shurely a Masterpiece...

May I ask where you´d gotten the Footage from?

  • Thanks, I actually found all of the footage bt doing a google video search for keywords like steel mill, foundry, etc.

  • Yes, I recognize several of the clips while doing searches of my own along the same lines.

  • Cool thanks again man. I'm actually going to rework this song to make it more complex and engaging.

  • Gorgeous! The scenes and the music makes it all feel so hellish and evil, I love it. <3
