I don't think the video quality looked bad at all in this video, but I have seen comparisons of Rhino's DVDs and Shout Factory's DVDs, and Rhino had cleaned up and brightened up the image more and their episodes were brilliant.
I am still happy Shout Factory released all 65 of the Jem episodes, which was a shame that Rhino couldn't after Sony took over their company.
@Summerskill Rhino used 35mm film whereas shout used type-c tape, a major difference. I modified the color, brightness, contrast, added noise reduction, and up-scaled with some more heavy filters and it still doesn't look like I wanted it to.

Aww no. That is a shame that Shout Factory used different master tapes, (if that's the right word) unlike Rhino who used the correct original tapes. I did read on the Jem forum that Shout Factory used the same tape as The Hub's broadcast episodes.
PS: I'm from the UK, but thanks to Youtube, the internet and the forums, I can get my Jem fix and that was how I found out about The Hub reshowing 80's cartoons. :o)
