What's the keystroke sound like on this? I see a lot of CASIOs have the problem that when the keys are punched without any volume that, even with volume, the keystrokes are so loud that you can hear them OVER the music...
Toward the end when the strings and piano were going at the same time. What is that feature called, and does it copy the exact same note? Because it sort of sounds like the strings are not exactly the same note. Can you describe that feature because it does sound really good.
How does this keyboard feel in comparison to real piano feel? Do the keys have a nice feel to them or do they feel like cheap plastic when you press them down?
people who are watching videos about this keyboard to decide whether they should buy it or not are gonna be mis-informed. I heard about all the so-called "bad" stuff about this casio cdp100, and i still went out and bought it!
i am very happy with it and paid around 400 bucks for it! which is cheaper than any supposedly "good" keyboard that costs 700 or 800 bucks!
my advice is.. The keys feel great, mine doesn't have "noise" in the keys and the speakers are not bad at all!
Is this one any good for gigs or not really... I need one for gigs but i'm also a starter, so I don't want to spend too much money... Can any1 help me ?
thanks for the video! do the keys make a disturbing noise when they go back up after pushing them? i am thinking to buy one piano like that but since i saw one video about the noise of the keys i am doubting.....
thanx man for uploading this. Yeah, I agree the inbuilt speaker's not so good. Thank goodness from the comments here now I know I can connect it to an external speaker. Thanx again :)
Can you split the sounds, and have like the strings up until middle C or A, and piano and such from that note on? Thanks for the video, btw, really helpful!
Hi, thanks for posting this vid. I just wonder if you press down the key(s), then suddenly release them would they make lots of noise when they are bounced up? Do you feel annoyed by that? please refer to this video if my description isn't clear.
@lisajason111 for me it wasn't that annoying. Of course, it's not Yamaha P90 or something like it, it's just a good affordable practice board with quite nice hammer-like feel. Yes, clicks can disturb your sleeping room mate if any. When concentrated on sound and intonation I just don't pay attention to that effect. Make sure keyboard is on the stable surface, turn up volume a little or use headphones and just play your music.
Dude, this helped me a lot, I wasn't completely sure about this piano, cause everybody said Casio sounds awful, but I don't really agree, that sound awesome.
as far as I know, wooden stand is sold separately. Adapter is included as well as simple sustain pedal and plastic stand for scores/songbooks. BTW, any double X stand fits OK
Yeah. I found some wooden stand for it somewhere, but it was like $120. So I skipped that and now I play on whatever table is open, or in my room somewhere :P
@RandomPerson1000000 Yeah, actually. I love it. I don't have any problems with it at all. The only thing I don't like about it is when the volume is all the way up, the speakers sort of make a buzzing sound, but it's not that bad.
Are the keys and the piano sound good on this? Do you think it would sound as good/better if hooked up to a mixer or PA (with an adapter through the headphones, of course)?
The keys feel very well. Piano sound through internal speakers is good enough for everyday practice: learning songs, melodies, scales etc. Running this thru external PA will, surely, improve the sound. Depends on what you need it for...
NP30 has semi-weighted keyboard i.e. no hammers. CDP100 is no longer in production. Casio CDP-200 has more features/voices, but the higher price. Try Casio CDP-200, Casio PX120, Orla Stage Player or consider aftermarket.
What's the difference between this and the 120?

@Teremei It's called layering. I didn't think this keyboard has that feature, does it really have layering?

I heard the inbuilt speakers on this suck, do you know if it can be hooked up to speakers to improve sound quality?
